To those that don't know Ctrl+L is Levels, which helps intensify colors for whichever layer you're on, a good idea if you're transitioning traditional art to digital or are making manga edits. And to those who don't know what Hue does, it changes the color of whatever layer you're on except for pure black and pure white.

I'll just say this now, I've learned more about art from Leslie than any past art teacher. Keep doing what you do dude, you're amazing ^3^
@LizzieShiro8 жыл бұрын
The first question surprised me. I'm not bragging or anything, at least I hope not, but the first thing an artist should do with a new art program is explore it. Learn how things work. I self taught a handful of art programs, minus GIMP. GIMP was too hard for me to handle when I was twelve.
@achyfi8 жыл бұрын
gimp is complicated as hell i can barely use it just to try and get things like pixels transparent x_x

I used to use GIMP *shiver*
@LenkaaaD8 жыл бұрын
LizzieShiro gimp really isn't complicated. Used gimp for the first time when I was around 9-10. Best free editing software out there, hands down. Also compatible with all PS brushes and file extensions. It's amazing. And yes, I can use PS too. I do feel like Gimp is more organized than PS is. Just cleaner in general. Its not meant for drawing but mainly photo editing. I absolutely hate most photo editing software including PS for drawing. But yeah, some of these questions seem to come from people that have never used a computer in their life. Ctrl C and V are so common and work for everything.

You remind me so much of me and my friend before I start... Ok here comes something heart touching (In my opinion) You are literally my idol and I can't even tell you how much you have taught me in drawings (and firealpaca x3) But even at some of my darkest times (cliché I know) and it's true.. When it comes to art I always go to you for it. I came to this channel thinking "Oh this is just one of those channels that does art, like everyone else" OH BOY WAS I WRONG! I started watching you and my mind got out of art block, a bit of depression and actually started to draw for others too! You are so unique from the rest of the pack and I enjoy watching you as an artist and a youtuber. Again I want to be unique like you and look up to you. I've been through alot (cancer, transplants, hospital, etc) and I know if I go back I will still be watching you and along with watching you I will be drawing aswell. You are amazing and thank you. -Loniu

Thanks for the help! I'm creating a picrew so knowing how to paste and flip something (for example a hand if i'm having them do the same thing in the picrew) is very helpful! Also for people wondering how to get something you pasted and transformed on the same layer as what you selected - after it's in the position you want click on the icon to the LEFT of the trash can, with the down arrow! It combines the layer selected and the layer below it!
