Lol when I was younger I believed my bag was indestructible! My poor speedy had been to every night club I went to, every country I've travelled too, it's been in rain, heat, snow, had chocolate melt inside it, have my cats sit inside it! Amazingly it's still perfect. I did get the canvas cleaned up though

I love my LV canvas especially the speedy. I have one from 1987 that’s in great shape but would benefit from new leather. The quotes for repair have gone up about 30-50% in the last year and at this point I could buy a new vintage bag for the quote of $895 plus $250 for zipper!!

Yes! I went to a local cobbler to fix the zipper for $150 for a repair. To heck with $250!

I feel like if people don't like the patina then don't buy the untreated bags. I personally love the darkened handles and leather! My bags look so vintage now and people will criticise them but I love the look. LV have lots of options for bags that are treated leather. I cringe when people use olive oil or apple guard on their bags

I love ♥️ my Artsy. I purchased it as a reward for passing my Insurance Licensing Exam back in 2015. That braided strap is EVERYTHING! It joins it’s siblings, Chantilly (1987), Speedy 30 (1988) and a host of SLG and the Speedy Bandoliere 55. I want to add the Neverfull now, originally I did not want it because it was SO common but now I do. However, I am on a LV price increase strike because it is OOC! So, I may need to take another route in acquiring my Neverfull. As always, thank you SO much for your insightful content #ROCKON Michelle 👜

I have the most random question but was hoping you can advise. I have what I am told is authentic Game On Neverfull, which has black straps and trim on the white multicolor. I have never had any LV with black leather. Is it treated in a way that makes it not smell like leather? It smells like nothing and I’m not used to that. Not a hint of leather smell. My Murakami bags all smell so delish even 20 years after I bought them, but they are vachetta. Appreciate any input, as I’m now questioning if this Neverfull bag is legit. TYIA. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hi Michelle! Thank you for this video. Lots of helpful info. About to buy my very first LV bag and had a question. For a monogram canvas Speedy B, is the pattern supposed to be mostly aligned or, in your experience, does the pattern tend to not be aligned? I went to a store last month and the salesperson showed me 5 bags, but they all had monogram prints that didn’t have the logos lined up. Just wondering if this is expected or if it’s worth holding out for as-close-to-perfect alignment. Thanks in advance!

Hi. I got a speedy bandoulliere in 2018. The hardwares are tarnishing, and the interior smells? I read that in South Korea, there were defective bags that emitted a smell between 2017-2021 hence, LV allowed for them to be exchanged. Is it normal for the bag to be smelly?

Different stores have basically similar repair information. But . I'm in Australia so getting repairs in-store takes afew months because the send them overseas . And you need to be clear with the sales staff, because you could end up with not just a new lining repair but also a new date code

Re: the warranty...for someone new to the brand, it doesn't seem like an unreasonable question to ask. I do know that Chanel offers a warranty for a few years, so it could be why they are asking. However, as you stated, it is unrealistic to think that these bags are supposed to be indestructible because of its price point. It's still just a bag and there is going to be wear and tear. Oh! And thank you for the tip on what to use to condition the canvas!!
