I got the Milady 40 minutes in and it's really easy to find as well. It's about as well hidden as the dectus medallion pieces in the base game. While it doesn't have the ash of war, the light attack combo and the guard counter make it worth using alone.

i agree with him on most things besides the fact he said the bosses are not that much harder and they are this is bad info from him and if you go in with a maxed out strength with the giant crushers+ prelate it will be easier when you do 3k per jump attack.

I fell like Milady is pretty close to the start. I got it in the first half hour but yeh I was profoundly disappointed to realise its cool stuff is behind another ash of war. Its basic patterns missed a lot and I felt a drastic drop in power (connected more with beast claws) lol. As I get used to it it is getting better

you can literally make a bee-line to it and get it without fighting anyone. The ash of war takes maybe another 10 minutes, and most of that is just getting TO where it is.

I also found it after like 3 hours, and that was after leisurely going through Belurat, the divine beast and a few towns and small places in Gravesite Plains. I think him creating false expectations by exaggerating the DLC’s length can do more harm than the corrections in the video

I think the average person aka the people complaining about difficulty will have a drastically longer playtime than many of us going in with our maxed out characters. I mean 60% of the player base hasn’t even beaten Mohg, so yeah lol.

Played today for a couple of hours. I’m RL174 and not an amazing player by any stretch and can vouch for enemies hitting hard. I’m over 2k HP and def got 3-shot by some early bosses.

Went in at level 125 and can confirm hitting bosses with a normal katana is like stabbing them with a toothpick. Had no idea or would have ground it out ages ago. Still feels incredible just being in there getting pulverised!

I am in some Elden aring Facebook groups and I have gotten SO TIRED of people saying “your level won’t matter.” It’s really silly because like if you think about it logically for even a single second it makes no sense. How would it work? Would just going into the DLC reset your vigor to that of someone with level 10 vigor, and the same for every stat? And then getting scadutree fragments increases everything at a constant rate? So builds just don’t even have a purpose anymore? The crazy thing is that you have to be so bad at critical thinking to believe this that I genuinely think people will still think this AFTER playing.

I must have went the wrong way cause I found the Milady within a few hours. Still haven’t found the ash of war tho. He’s right about the bosses not being too hard. Unless you bring summons, then the buffs they get are no joke…especially the health pool. Had someone with me during the Castle Ensis boss and we kept dying. Then I decided to go back solo and ended up winning so much easier.

He's makimg general statements for the general playerbase. Some of us are hounds and find stuff easy and early. Others literally take 10 hours to get to the first legacy dungeon. Keep looting and discovering stuff and maybe one of these vids will help you too :)

Hmm I only fought one real boss so far, the first one in Belurat, and I don't think that he(or it^^') is a pushover.. Yes the damage I do is pretty normal, but he two-shoted me and had a decently difficult moveset. Did you use spirit ashes (or other summons)?

the milady sword can be gotten EASILY, without fighting anything, and within maybe 10-15 minutes of starting the DLC, if that. You just have to know where it is. And the wing stance is maybe another 10-15 minutes into the same dungeon, and can also be gotten WITHOUT even having to fight anything. And don't tell me you're including the time it takes to get TO the DLC area, because that takes an hour and a half to two hours. If youre taking it slow. So what the fuck are you talking about? Also, about the leveling system... who? Who said this? I never saw anyone saying any of this.

I got to the final boss without knowing what I was doing in less than 10 hours. Bear claws in the first 15 minutes, milady is very early, backhanded swords are very early. The DLC isn’t as big as people have been saying tbh. It’s a decent size but it’s pretty easy to get around when you know where you’re going.

One other thing , I mean … the dlc IS hard but , not that hard. Came in at 125 and decided to raise it to 150. A little hyperbole with the Instant Death comment lol I’m like 30 hours in and it’s pretty much what I expected. Granted I didn’t fight these “ultimate “ bosses you describe but the comment about trash mobs maybe be a little much. Great vid regardless as always !

What about NG+ scaling? So I wouldn’t think higher levels make the DLC harder but typically if you’re level 350, you are probably on NG+++. Like many of us, I have dozens of builds in various states of NG. I did create 3 builds that are all around 150 and still in NG. However, I’m curious does NG+ effect DLC difficultly? I would assume that does?

seems like the dlc weapons, even the normal ones are better than base game weapons. like the great katana or whatever it is called seems far superior than any other katana I have or any other greatsword. and it isn’t even a special weapon. i haven’t brought it back to the base game yet, but just saying I think it is possible the dlc weapons are more powerful

It feels far to hard im level 250 ng1 and i get hit twice by a small enemy and im dead and my vigor is over 70 ams mg endurance is 50 and im wearing some of the strongest gear in game 😂
