Common PAT testing fails

Hello Ben, I came across the same issue as with the iec lead shown. THis was with the flex connection on a deep fat fryer on a catering van. Is it okay to just change the plug with a normal plug top. I was always taught, correctly or incorrectly , that the plug should be replace like for like. So I would have ordered a complete new cable for the appliance and rewired it. It would be great to hear your thoughts. Thanks. Nathan.
