Thanks for letting us know the timing chain guide fix by BMW was implemented March 2013! My VIN tag on the door pillar shows 05/2013. Whew! 100k miles and still running great. Also know that the new, replacement guide appears to be a red color, not white.You can see the color by removing the oil cap and peeking into the crank case.

I have a 2014 bmw 528i and it runs like a charm so smooth I forget the car is on, transmission shifts so effortlessly and smooth u wouldn’t think it was one lol , 70 thousand miles and I only need break pads before they go bad because the car tells you everything

Bro thats crazzy, i have an 2015 528i. I literally had only these problems with mine. The only one that i didnt had was the fuel injectors. But the others all of them i fixed

I have a 2013 BMW 528j and it has a rough idle in the mornings and whenever the car is cold. And there is a fume coming out of the AC/Heater, after the car starts! What’s going on with it? Please help! Thanks

Check your valve cover gasket . The engine head is tilted towards the the intakes which oil leaks down and drops and that’s where the smoke goes into the ac unit

He replaces hoses on bmw EVERY 8 to 10 years ?? How OLD is he by now, assuming he has done it only SIX times 😂 🤣 ? The BIGGEST problem I have seen with a BMW, is THE DRIVER, the BEHAVIOUR of the driver. I STOPPED 11 years ago in 2010 changing oils, spark plugs and i also STOPPED making repairs on my 2000 E39. All i did was to drive the car at 40 miles per hour (60 km) and NO MORE than that, and it is STILL running today with NO SINGLE service and No single repair and Not even a single spark plug replaced since 2010 (11 years now!!), oh . . . did i mention that the RANGE i get on fuel is OUT OF THIS WORLD on a massive 2.8 litre HEAVY engine ! and oh.... did i also mention that the brake pads are STILL ok AFTERRR 11 years, and oh . . . the TYRRRRES are still Ok too, it is MIND BLOWING experience, once u LEARN to change your BEHAVIOUR as a bmw driver and you learn to drive like a granny and STAY below 45 miles per hour / 60 km per hour (STRICTLY!!!). The car became MORE reliable with No repairs and No maintenance whatsoever SINCE i changed my driving behavior to reduce my speed on the highway to SNAIL pace. oh, should i also mention that i have had NO SINGLE incident of running over pot hole, No single accident and No impacts on my suspension. At my new snail pace speed, i cannot even run OVER a rat or an insect on the road as i am able to SAFELY brake and stop the car without ANY strain :) Guysss . . . . Not a SINGLE traffic/speeding offense either !! the WONDERS of driving at SNAIL PACE.
