Sir, in dead code elimination you said i=0 and if(i=1) are the dead codes so how you get a=x+5 after dead code elimination. According to me, if i value is never 1 then control will never go inside if block , so i think whole 'if block' and i=0 are dead code and after dead code elimination we got nothing. What is your opinion?

Here we want to show that if any code is not used at all and not linked with current loop or expression, then it is useless and can be removed with out affecting loop or expression

@@LSAcademy007 sir do you mean we can remove control flow statements (like if, while, for, etc) if they are dead but we can consider the inner statements written inside these control statements in our final answer?

My meaning is that if any code is useless, whether it is inside loop or outside loop, it must be removed only. We need not to validate Loop for WHILE, FOR....
