You speak of removing the power supply to the ignition modulator and putting it on the positive what good does that do now the ignition modulator doesn't have any power to it. Anyway I'll try. This better work

Don't know if your car has a distributor or not, but if it does, some intermittent ignition symptoms like you describe can be due to excessive oxidation on the contacts (static or rotating) on the bottom end of the shaft. Starts okay cold, but can stall or stutter when warm -- excessive heat lowers conductivity enough to interfere with correct function. A very light sanding can restore it, but if overdone, a replacement may be required.

so this isn't relevant to any modern engine. points and condensor have been replaced by CDI ignition. very few cars (if any) after the mid/late 90s adopted both fuel injection and CDI unit for the igntion timing. also, these actors and this pronunciation are/is laughable.

MOST cars today don't have distributors. A lot still do. All electronic controls, no points.

Engines do not overheat due to ignition problems. The ignition system does not wear out by ours used. It is electronic. A novice can help cars work by keeping cables free from dirt and salt to make the cabling more resistant to water. Ceck engine has oil and water level ok before use.
