Thank you, that was the best wild edible film I have watched. So clearly explained. I eat 80% wild edibles every day. I ended up being raw vegan after being vegetarian. I feel healthy, never hungry. I would like to plant more that used to grow here. The winter was so wet and still in June nothing has changed, alas I can find no trace of purslane every last bit has been eaten :( I would love to find somewhere that sells seeds. I am living in S.W. France.. Thank you again. Fran

"...conscious forager..." - I love this! I started foraging in the fields when I was 8 growing up on outskirts of Moscow. Our house was the last on the block, with potato beds across the street and lots of weeds to munch on

Wow. This is amazing. I grew up eating and harvesting dandelions, love them. My mother cooked them with some vinegar in the water to give the bitterness a better flavor. I recognize a lot of these weeds, but never knew their names or that they are edible. The pineapple weed, we used to play with as a kid picking them and pretending they were a wild carrot and put them in weed salads, but never knew it could actually be eaten. You have opened my eyes to a whole new world. Thanks.

I made "Dandelion Coffee" several decades ago (the worst part was digging out the roots, even with the right tool), and was surprised at how much it tasted just like real coffee! Of course, it lacked the caffeine, but it _was_ absolutely _loaded_ with vitamins!

One of the best foraging videos on KZbin! Thank you so much! I've been foraging in my backyard and neighborhood for a while now. I come from a culture where that's what we did/still do for our greens (which we eat a lot of), no wonder we are so healthy! Amaranth 16:34 is a traditional veggie, which I harvest from my yard and a local park(where once one of the rangers gave me a whole story on how the Native Americans used this plant). I also use 17:48 Common Mallow, 19:52 Purslane, 21:52 Purslane and 24:31 Wild Lettuce, I use them in smoothies, as a cooked veggie (which I eat with our traditional ugali), and in salads. I also love eating Wood sorrel (which used to be our play vegetable as little kids-it has a nice lemony salty taste, we even used it's long fruits to mimic plantains and bananas😊). In fact it's funny, that I've become known as the lady who "eats her weeds"😊 I'm so pumped up with the benefits of eating my weeds I'm going to include them in my channel Zabeti's Adventures😊

Be careful. Wild foods especially have loads or dangerous fungal spores and parasitic eggs both on the surface and inside the plant itself. NEVER consume anything you pick from the forest! Not even when cooked. It's extremely dangerous. I've had multiple near death experiences and are now cronically ill from various deceases caused by parasites. Just be aware.

Never eat anything from the wild, you will most probably get sick eventually. Just a matter of time before you inject a dangerous parasite that will cause cronical illness.

@foopa dr oh stop it. You have zero clue what you're talking about. You are welcome to wrap yourself in sterile bubble wrap and sit safely in the corner, eating sterile factory produced food. Just mind your own business while you do it. The rest of us are out here enjoying the real world.

Other than not really having the same taste in title music, I couldn't find any fault with this film. It was clearly explained, well delivered & concise & the time passed quickly. You even addressed the biggest fault on YT - that the www isn't just full of Americans & you addressed species that are common in many countries where the rest of us live. Especially for that, I thank you.

I have already found mallow, chickweed, pineapple weed, and creeping Charlie just around the barn and horse paddocks. Can't wait to look at their open fields and along the woodlines. We are looking into having an expert do a foraging walk with us too.

Hey Sergey! I kind of like your intro music..nice beat, and then it kind of gets a little funky at the end there. You are so blessed. And that salad looks amazing! I leave all the oils and especially the brewers yeast, so I could actually taste the greens. Breweries is actually not as healthy as people think it is. Sure it has good flavor, but it's not healthy. A little lemon and avocado would do just fine, maybe a little aminos/salt. Sure wish we could have seen you enjoy the salad a bit😋.. or maybe enjoy a little bit with your camera person
