"I look out on the web occasionaly to try to educate myself on the car" I see your point but I had to briefly laugh about that one, considering I had to unlearn about 90% of the online wisdom I had about Tesla before I finally got to own one, and this is coming from someone who went in with as much skepticism as possible, willing to try new things. I can only imagine the average joe who thinks their television is the holy grail of knowledge over first hand experiences. Now I just log in to see how other owners are doing.

OK, no oil changes, but what about coolant fluid for the radiator and how often does it need changed? What kind of muffler bearings? Air, oil, or water cooled?

All valid concerns……😵💫

@@robmotiveplus I forgot to ask. Can you get a DynaFlow performance exhaust for the Model 3?

You never have to change the coolant unless a component in the system has to be repaired/replaced. Here is the entire list of service intervals for the Model 3 - literally cut & pasted from the owners manual: Service Intervals Tesla recommends the following maintenance items and intervals, as applicable to your vehicle, to ensure continued reliability and efficiency of your Model 3. For additional information on vehicle alerts, see Troubleshooting Alerts. Brake fluid health check every 4 years (replace if necessary)*. A/C desiccant bag replacement every 4** years. Cabin air filter replacement every 2 years. Clean and lubricate brake calipers every year or 12,500 miles (20,000 km) if in an area where roads are salted during winter. Rotate tires every 6,250 miles (10,000 km) or if tread depth difference is 2/32 in (1.5 mm) or greater, whichever comes first. That’s IT!

@@ZZZRaven65 It was a joke, implying Model 3s have ICEs. Read the rest of the comment about muffler bearings, which are the goto for a joke about people not knowing their cars. "Sir, the problem with the rough idle is your muffler bearings need replaced."

Texas has a $200-$300 annual registration fee for EVs. So that is an expense.
@robmotiveplus2 ай бұрын
What? When did that start?

A Tesla only depreciates if you sell it. If you keep it, it appreciates via updates.
@robmotiveplus2 ай бұрын
Maybe for the owner. The updates do not make it more valuable in the market as they all get the same updates.
@wizzyno15662 ай бұрын
Thats just nonsense.
@ZZZRaven652 ай бұрын
@@wizzyno1566 It's not nonsense. The car is literally constantly improving. I've only owned mine for four months and it already has new features it didn't have when I bought it. Tesla generally releases a big update every Christmas with lots of updates/additions, so I'm looking forward to that. Like Rob said, it doesn't increase the actual book value of the car, but it DOES increase the owners enjoyment of it and keeps them happy with it for longer. You don't have to trade it in to get the latest/greatest features. They just continually roll out to you automatically. Name another manufacturer that does that.
