He worked for the infamous Senator Joseph McCarthy during his real witch hunts of communists. In Congress , celebraties, Hollywood screen writers. Many were Blacklisted because of the McCarthy hearings.

It would look more like how it looked in the 1940s-1970s. Much of the earlier government corruption was cleaned up in the 1930s, and then after the 70s it began to work its way back in again, especially starting with Reagan. Now that the oligarchy/right wing has its own powerful propaganda outlets, it's unlikely that corruption will ever be able to be cleaned up again.

Guy tells it like it is. The real challenge is finding more honest men than you have corrupt ones in government. At the moment the corrupt officials outnumber the honest ones.
