I see in the video it mentions Selkirk and East Selkirk. Can someone tell me where is West Selkirk? I have a post card sent to my Dad by his family in Holland from 1928. The address on the card says West Selkirk, Manitoba. He was farming at the time. Thank You.

West Selkirk would be Selkirk the part of, town where most of this video was shot. It’s a nice prairie town with lots of big box stores and restaurants. About 20 min north of the city of Winnipeg. Definitely worth a visit in the spring/summer months.

@@89ayrtoncs The west part of Selkirk seems to be a very busy and bustling town. Probably a far cry from when our Dad had his farm there.(Glanmara Farm) I would genuinely love to come out there some day and see the area. I live in Guelph, Ont. After the depression hit in 1929 my Dad lost everything.The bank took all his farming implements which were paid for. He wanted to sell them but the bank said they'll go against the lien. After that he just went where the jobs were. Life Guard in Pine Falls, mechanic, prospector and finally to Timmins, Ont working in the gold mines. Thank you for your reply Ayrton.
