The "real life cop" who helped Abed write the script was Professor Hickey from back in S5, just in case y'all didn't clock Chang saying Hickey's signature "I'm gonna punch you in the heart" line. Abed asks Hickey for help writing this script in the episode "Bondage and Beta Male Sexuality".

I thought Hickey died. In the email hacking episode, there's an email that says Buzz Hickey Memorial Service
@ABAllen5 жыл бұрын
@@joevictor53 I'm actually pretty sure that Hickey started his own funeral services company. Recall in one of his earlier episodes there's a tag with him fighting a pharmacist over the phone and it ends with him telling his mother they can't afford to bury his father with the rest of the family. To me it makes more sense that he left Greendale to start an affordable funeral services company rather than he died, especially since Chang makes a comment in the S6 finale grouping him in with Shirley and Troy as people from the past ("Troy, Shirley, Hickey; they're the past. Greendale don't need no past!"). Chang doesn't mention Pierce, which makes me think he's only counting people who left, not people who died.

13:10 Jeff strangling Abed amidst the pile of frisbees, legitimately scaring both of them, was my favorite moment in an otherwise contrived episode. Strong acting by Pudi and McHale with an honest and vulnerable moment of connection between their characters. As ciphers for Harmon's own feelings at the time, Jeff and Abed's struggle with loss and change over the final two seasons, made for the greatest, most heartfelt character development.

Gotta love Chris for always stating things like he knows it 100% sure, while he isn't. Like Rick and Morty being on air at the time. He tells Suraj he's wrong with a conviction you'd believe without a doubt lmao. I always learned that smart people actually say ''I don't know'' when they don't know something.

Even without getting the Police Academy reference in this episode the cops not being heroes line is still pretty understandable. It has nothing to do with police academy but Britta not seeing cops as heroes. Seeing how she's anti-government and would most likely be someone that protests cops and the corruption of their power.

Abed emerging from the frisbee pile is an obvious homage to ‘Apocalypse Now’, so the musical cue that you hear must be from the film’s main song. I love this episode.

The thing with Jeff hating Chris Pratt is Joel McHale was one of the actors in the running for the role of Starlord in guardians of the galaxy before Chris ultimately got the role.
