COMMUNITY GARDEN / We're Planting! / Vlog 2 / Zone 9b

Welcome to our community garden! This year we are expanding! We will continue to garden in our backyard raised beds, but have finally gotten into our local community garden here in Sacramento, CA. Gardening in the community garden gives us the opportunity to bulk produce items we normally wouldn't have room for.. like lots of tomatoes, melons, squash, pumpkins and beans! It also gives us the chance to try new techniques, like in-ground gardening, and learn from fellow gardeners in our area (as well as give back to the community!). We are very excited for this opportunity and can't wait to share our journey with you.

Are you still at the community garden? I’m the only one at mine in Placer, not many people are interested in gardening here.

We actually gave it up this year, we weren’t impressed with the ‘community’ aspect, or lack thereof. We also moved about 25 mins away from it, so we are going to focus on our new garden for the time being.
