Community Nursing Homes: Veteran Care

Community Nursing Homes are for Veterans who need skilled care and whose needs cannot be met in the home. Whether you need short-term rehabilitation or long-term care, Community Nursing Homes provide around-the-clock skilled nurses. In addition, services such as help with the activities of daily living (ADLs), wound care, therapy, dietary management, and access to social services, are provided. Since Community Nursing Homes exist in many communities, Veterans who qualify may often be able to get care near their homes and families.
