Community Powwow - Traditional Native Song & Dance - Boston Indian Week, 1974

The name of this specific dance and tribe were not mentioned in the original video (if anyone knows, please inform us so we can update the video). This community powwow was led by spokesperson and AIM member Rod Skenandore. Boston Indian Week was an event to raise awareness about the beauty and wisdom of Native American culture and their respect for Mother Nature, as well as the history of oppression and exploitation Native Tribes have faced under the occupation of the colonialist United States government.
