Thanks for watching Win or Die. It’s more of a last call premise. If you want it, get it now, because it’s up and going higher. There are a few issues that are a bit ahead of the curve, but letting collectors know to get a book before it completely prices itself out is the main goal. And let’s be honest, if people (youtubers, news sites, collecting apps) are already talking about a book, it’s too late to some regard.

Nice pickups! I’ve had my Sandman 8 for a while. The story makes me sad though. I bought it, a TTA57 and a WBN32 for $75 back in 2013(?). Flipped the 5.0-5.5 WBN32 for $50 to recoup most of my expense. The next 12 months saw that book explode from a bottom tier 1st appearance to the major key it is today. 😭😭😭

Hey Clay! Thanks for watching! Definitely always a chance you could hit by picking up a few different 9.8s. The advantage with the She-Hulk is that we already have the confirmed Disney+ project to help drive demand to the book in the short term.

@@CoMoComicBooks Totally get that, there’s just so, so many She-Hulk 1’s in 9.8 out there, and we don’t have any way of knowing how just much she’ll stick yet. At $300 I was hesitant and skipped it. Pretty good spec.. I just can't get on board with GI Joe. I get that the market reflects a mid life crisis nostalgia demographic.. But Joe was way too over the top for any live action adaptation. War and elite forces the way the books had it, becomes comedy on screen. If a trigger is pulled someone gets hurt.. GI Joe may have had a death once.
@CoMoComicBooks3 жыл бұрын
It was the 80s, so only robots could die (RIP Optimus Prime). You’re doing better than me! I’ve bought nearly the entire Mirage Vol1 of TMNT, but missed the boat on Raphael for the time being. My gut tells me that it may be overplaying it’s hand right now, but TMNT is a unique property in that regard. $2k+ for high grade raw copies just makes me feel like it’s out over it’s skis, but I like the book overall. Additionally, I’m happy to see TMNT2 getting the love it deserves. I’m a big mouser fan though. I have some issues of value but don’t know where would be best to sell them. Anyone know?
@CoMoComicBooks3 жыл бұрын
Depending on the volume of issues you have, ebay may be the best bet if you’re looking for the highest return. That is based off of the quantity being manageable enough that you don’t mind doing the leg work for each individual sale. If it’s a larger amount of books you will want to find a reputable store or vendor, possibly even a fellow collector to make you an offer for the lot. Obviously you will not maximize your return that way, but there is a tipping point where the work and the money balance out. If you have some true heavy hitters, I would recommend having them pressed/cleaned and then graded.

I was a huge TMNT fan when they came out, and I remember having every issue until about 1990/1991, a bunch of issues of Gizmo, all of the Turtles one-shots, and the two that I really miss, the compilation/anthology books “Turtle Soup” and “Grunts”. I loved everything Mirage back then, and even bought the Turtles RPG books (even though I didn’t play) and all of the expansions, and I kick myself for losing track of/selling so many awesome comics from back then. I collected Marvel and DC stuff as well, and a lot of independent books (Jeez, just remembered Boris the Bear by Nicotat Comics)- your channel, which I just stumbled across, has opened up a huge can of nostalgia for me! Probably obvious- I’m ranting here, sorry! Thanks so much for such a great channel- I’ve got to subscribe, no doubt! Stay safe and healthy, man-

Hey Mark! I’m glad you found the channel! No need to apologize! The thing that gets lost so often in the hobby today is that it’s about fun and collecting something that is part of your identity. It sounds like you’re enjoying your trip down memory lane and that’s what it’s all about!

Thanks for watching P! I’m extremely soft on ASM362 and 363. I can sell 361 all day, every day, but very few customers express any interest in 362/363.

Thanks Brian! They’re out there! A member of the community bought one at the show we were setup at on Sunday and brought it over to show me. Full transparency: it was the first copy I’d ever seen in person!

Why is that Sandman series always more valuable than the original Jack Kirby Sandman, it never made sense to me? If it solely by pencils and ink quality , the list of comics can go on and on?
@CoMoComicBooks4 жыл бұрын
My favorite Sandman is the Golden Age Sandman! So many different Sandmans! Neil Gaiman is the short answer to your question. His Sandman series is a literary masterpiece.

Hey Drew, great stuff! Was wondering if you ever considered doing a Magic the Gathering Investment Video. Just to get your take on MTG collectibles. Keep up the great work!
@CoMoComicBooks4 жыл бұрын
Hey Rhog! I ACTIVELY try to avoid MTG. I know the slightest little bit about it from my days working at my LCS, but the one thing I do know is that it’s a rabbit hole I don’t want to go down! Mainly for my bank account’s sake. My narrowly informed advice would be to buy the highest graded copies of The Power 9 you can afford. I’m sure that’s far from a revolutionary piece of advice though. Thank you for tuning in for the comic book content though!

I may have a camera and a channel, but I’m just a comic vendor and collector. No time for BS in my schedule. Definitely a lot of time for more comic cons and shows once we can do those on the regular again...

Regie Collects or Very Gary Comics will buy them. Don't sell to big dealers like Dolgoff, you'll be settling for pennies.

@@A100-y2c I’m Ready to just move all of them, my wife was organizing them, there are a lot of boxes in the living room, and I think it’s time? I live in Afton Wyoming , so there aren’t a lot of places near me that deal in comics? Thanks for your input?
@CoMoComicBooks3 жыл бұрын
A100 Thanks for watching, but I’m a comic vendor first. I buy collections all the time. I trust you’re just trying to help, but as a business, it’s not helpful to suggest to a seller that they go to another potential buyer. I’m happy to work with Donn and make him a competitive offer. If we make a deal, great! I would ask that you not direct people who’ve reached out to us to other parties. All due love and respect to Reggie and Gary though. They’re a couple of great content creators.
