Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed the video! I usually try and keep it to VF or better on the budget videos as I know some people drop off pretty quickly when you get below that. Personally, I’m much more interested in overall presentation than actual grade. Give me a good looking 3.0 any day and I’ll be happy (if we’re talking silver or older).

@@CoMoComicBooks I totally agree on lower grades!!! I even go as low as 2,0 on Silver books like Batgirls origin, A cover that looks pretty good when graded is pretty nice!!!

I have a question. I've been collecting comics since I was 11 or 12, I'm 57 now. The New Mutants was one of my favorites, because of it I have TNM 98. I have looked into getting it graded and have decided not to, I know I'm going to sit on it and Hope Ryan keeps making good movies. What are your thoughts on grading? Is it really that important? I like the thought I or grandchildren could still read it and it's not just a cover to look at. Thank you.

On that book, unless it’s a newsstand copy, Mark’s Jewelers, etc. I generally don’t recommend grading it unless you’re confident you’ll get at least a 9.4, and really more like a 9.6. There just isn’t that much additional value added for the cost.

We’re in the same boat. I’ve been collecting on and off since I was a kid. I just collect for my own enjoyment and not to resell or have them graded. I only buy raw books because of the nostalgia and the smell… Lol. 😎

i would say if you have the 98 and its in high grade, meaning 9.2 or above,...slab it, buy a reprint and read it if necessary. if you keep it raw put it in a mylar w board and still read the reprint......sounds like you have a good collection.

As a dealer, there is nothing better than a run collector. Selling wall books makes the daily sales look good, but selling out of the boxes is where the bottom line gets a boost.

Love ASM 294! Great pick. I also love that this was a six-part story that ran through the 3 titles and not a six-issue limited series that ran outside those titles. I remember collecting the storyline as they came out and couldn't wait to read the next issue. I'd love to get all the Fearful Symmetry: Kraven's Last Hunt issues graded in a 9.8 someday. I just picked up a nice copy of Thor 168 for $50. Love the Galactus covers and I've been chasing a nice copy at a decent price for a long time. People usually want alot for a higher grade 168 so I'm happy Also there's a good motion comic books of Doom here on youtube. Not that I'm trying to shout out the boss man or anything but maybe I'll get another upgrade if he sees this.

I bought many of the early Thor issues for $2-$5 when nobody cared about Mighty Thor. Yea Verily!
