another suggestions: never disable av to decompress malware files. if you do so it will ruin the test as some files run when they are getting indexed by windows. you should set these folders in the excluded list of windows defender only, and extract all the files with the avs running. all the files the av can catch, great. all the files that are ignored these are the files you want to test against the av itself by running these files... :( sadly you did it wrong. please consider doing another test keeping the default settings and no marking any folders or files on the whitelist of the avs. keep they running and monitoring the system while you decompress the files. and keep in my that when you import configuration files into cis some setting can be broken, so do not do that not for testing nor for using it on your main computer...

Comodo: you have to clean the autocontainment and Comodo 2025 was released.

to validate this test you need to use de default config or configure it during the video. the "import" settings is not working property on the beta (atleast for me its not) so this is not trustworth. pplease, is possible, do a clean install, configure cis and do the test again? or show the link to the malware so i can try it for myself?

COMODO can be a problem to test with HIPS so i can be a bit to config to make sure it allows it to run. It's one of the modern ones it comes with. Thnx i appriciate it.

@@jitechsolutions I saw that you had several rules in the container settings to ignore things, perhaps if those weren't there CIS would've done better. Edit: after re-watching I see that you had the "internet security" configuration enabled instead of "proactive security" That's why comodo didn't do as well as it usually does in your tests, because you didn't test it with the settings you normally test it with. And that's why the average user will have a lot of trouble using CIS

The only problem with these antiviruses and antimalware is that they detect malware and block the malware's action, but it does not disinfect and delete malicious files, which is the most important thing about Antivirus.

the most important thing is prevention. if a malware relies on your hdd but your av can block and terminate it, doesnt matter if the malware is there. he will become useless... :) but if the av can not deal with it, than we are in trouble... :P

The way Comodo works is, once malware is contained, you have to CLEAR the Sandbox manually. Then all those Ransomw go away!

Thank you for the comment. I'm aware of how it works as we where almost 9years a partner with them. I did not clean it hence the infection and saw no need for it.

This person obviously lacks knowledge about Comodo features. He excluded scripts and ignored detections!!! The test is completely flawed. If you're not familiar with a product, please refrain from testing it.

Let me correct you, we where a partner with Comodo for over 8yrs till recently. Ifyou paid any attention and know comodo as you claim you will know it will block the script from running in HIPS and containment, furhtermore if you paid attention i excluded virus scope from cleaning my script only, not any malware. Furhter more if you paid attention there where green borders around the malware that ran. Should i continue?

This is a beta version which means it has bugs i have tested it with a normal release and the same ransomware gets contained and no infection is done

@@nikolam1093 I know this is a beta version, but even then it's not very promising. Even with the beta version they use the same engine right? It shouldn't make a huge difference in my opinion.
