Only stone button will work because of the length of the tick it gives. I was configuring the whole setup thinking what I did wrong. I switch the button and it started working.

@@tobx2351 I'm not quite sure why you would want to do that but with a bit of modification to the design it is possible: Just replace the redstone dust with a note block and you should be good.

Seeing it in action, I figured out (at least in theory) a couple ways one could build it. My first idea was a shulker box loading and unloading system, in which a comparator set to subtract mode takes an output from the box and creates a clock by feeding into itself that unlocks a hopper until the shulker box is empty and at the same time fires every piston feed tape after it in sequence of three of these systems. Another way I thought of is having different items in a hopper loop that give different values from a comparator and set up five pre-determined games. Or you can it up so stacks of the items go for more than one game. Or five pre-determined games per hopper. But something I just thought about is when the game starts back up the piston feed tapes would have different positions. It would still mean a reliable number of games between wins, just not five like I originally thought. Something I didn't expect was composters to be the randomizer, because I sort of forgot about them. That and I don't think I knew you could take comparator outputs from them.

Dude thank you so much for this. Last summer I built a full on working casino with different games that my friends can spend their diamonds on (survival server). I really needed slot machines in there (small ones) but I really couldn't find anything on KZbin. It's kinda late now since the server doesn't exist anymore but that won't be stopping me from making another casino and I'll use this design, I'm so happy!

@@RexxStone I was thinking about using your other redstone stuff in that casino, like the gates you made, that open with a ticket or a diamond. One diamond, to get into the casino. Also could there be any way to make a lucky spinwheel with redstone? I can make one with command blocks but that isn't survival friendly. I don't know if you've played GTA Online but I got inspired by the casino there. In the middle you can win a car from the spinning lucky wheel. That would be cool in minecraft.

@@RexxStone Yoo! I tried to make a roulette table but I'm not that good with redstone so I couldn't figure out how to make it work. Also mumbo jumbo made a video on minecart racing where the minecarts randomly slide down the rails and the winner gets a prize. I tried that with horses because in the GTA Casino there is horse race betting. It would be cool to have something like that in minecraft but something small and not a full size racing track because it's in a casino. I tried making one but the horses would suffocate since they need space :(

Amazing build man, just amazing. This machine is so intricate and sophisticated, I'd classify it as a mini computer. And how you made it so compact is just mind boggling. You are seriously one of the most underrated channels on KZbin and you've got some real talent. I built this on a survival server and people really seem to like it. However some blocks got pushed out of place, probably due to lag, and it seriously messed up the machine. I am no expert on Redstone so it took me about 1 and a half hour to identify and fix the problem. I also placed obsidian behind all rotating blocks to prevent it from happening again.

sry for being a bit late, it could be possible however the spinning duration would be less for each one because the signal of the composter would have to be streched to 5 circuts instead of 3 so it would stop the first one really early and so on. I would believe it still would work so just replicate what he did but add 2 more spinning circuts on the side and work the signal going up and down around it, other than that i think you should be good

My slot machine was normal when I finished building it, but over 2 weeks the middle and last rows weren't changing blocks. I saw some pistons not pushing, specifically the bottom of the two rows and the logic at the back. I heard endermen vwhooping around so I guess some blocks may have been taken/moved. Any ideas which part of the circuit I should check again?

almost everything works and its a great build but the things that are confusing to me is that the composter fills up, but doesn't remove the content on its own and i have to do it by hand, and the current is constantly running trough the machine so it doesn't matter if i click the button or not it just keeps going if the composter is empty. Any idea of the possible problem? Edit: I solved the problem myself, just had some missplaced blocks thanks again for the great vids, found you a couple days ago, shame i didn't know about you earlier :D

I'm not sure if anyone else has said this, a cursory glance says not. If you're building this, make sure you have Redstone DOTS and NOT CROSSES where he has dots, like at the end on the blue wool and a few other places. It makes a HUGE difference. Like, the machine working vs not working or breaking itself entirely. You can change a cross to a dot by right clicking on it. You'll place a cross by default when placing redstone. This tutorial came out before the snapshot in April 2020 which changed a lot about redstone. So if you're experiencing pistons not behaving properly, that could well be your issue. DOTS not CROSSES.

@@RexxStone It seemed to make a difference on the paper SMP I just helped a friend on, she'd built it and it kept breaking even though she followed the tutorial and schematic, no idea what happened. So maybe it being paper was an issue? I mean it shouldn't be, but it can affect other things so eh. So we ripped it down and I rebuilt it, but I used dots instead of crosses. Now it works perfectly. I could only assume that was the issue, but I'm not about to change it back to test the theory further xD Considering only one redstone being a cross vs a dot was enough to break a tree farm my husband made, I didn't want to chance it breaking again :)

If anyone encounters something where they accidentally build it sort of backwards( I did this), it's basically at the beginning where he places the redstone lamp and such, make sure you get the angles right how he did otherwise you will do what I did where I built the whole machine to the left of the rolling area rather than behind the rolling area. Easy fix though all I did was move the structure to the left so it fit right. Also make sure you put the shulker on top of the hopper, cause I made a mistake with that too since my build was made backwards where I put the shulker above and empty space when its supposed to be on the hopper. Another pro tip, if you want to use composting materials, any type of leaves works from any tree.

Hello RexxStone! With the hundreds of comments you get you probably won't see mine. But, I just wanted to say, like everyone else before me, how completely awesome this design is. One - I like the movement of the wheels and how they stop one after the other like a real slot machine. Most of the other bedrock designs for slot machines that I've seen don't do that, or aren't as slick. Two - The composter randomizer . . . . do I really need to say more?? 😅 And Three - The ease at which you can change the payouts for Emerald/Gold, and Diamonds simply by changing to the page number in a book is really nice! So, once again, thank you for sharing such a wonderfully thought out design. p.s. - I haven't watched the video yet but people have suggested I check out your Google Chrome Dinosaur Game next. I've never played the actual game before so I don't know what to expect with a Minecraft version of it. The thumbnail of it looks intriguing and like it could be quite complicated! Even so, you do quality work so I doubt I'll be disappointed! 💎

Thanks! Seems like you just had really bad luck there. The chance of winning is 1/9, 1/27 for the jackpot. So it's very well possible (though unlikely) to only win 3 times in 64 games. :D
