I have a question. How fast the galvo has to be to scan 240 parallel horizontal lines with maximum angle at 60fps? Is there any formula that would allow me to calculate that?

240 lines could be 240 "scans". If you use bidirectional scanning using a triangle wave, then you can think about it as 120 "cycles" of the triangle-wave. 120 cycles that takes place 60 times per second would be 7200Hz. Certainly no galvo scanner can do that at 60 degrees. A polygon scanner would conceivably be able to do that, and the scanning waveform would be a sawtooth-wave instead of a triangle-wave.

Is this being used for some type of structured light scanning?

No the particular customer was using this for wide angle graphics projection (what is referred to as "Optical Layout Template" in our industry)
