The issue with some of these compact cars is they are too tall for their tiny chassis, so their centre of gravity gets raised too much and their stability suffers.

@MK25 I've seen lightweight cars beat heavier cars. As implied above, heavier cars have a higher chance of flipping in turns. It balances out well enough.
