No he’s not... the Class B RV (sprinter, transit, and promaster based) movement is huge here but crazy expensive. The B+ models are usually slightly bigger vans but even more expensive due to the custom van like body. A lot of us want something just a bit bigger and cheaper, but our class Cs are huge... it’s difficult to find something like this... but I’d buy this. Probably even try living out of it for a bit.

I wish we had more RVs like this back in the U.S. These are really well thought out and seem to be of good quality. The floor plans are well thought out and that first one had amazing storage for such a small RV. I would really like to see more of this in the U.S. PS new sub! And 1 request... please, please open and show the inside of the fridge. For me the fridge can be a deal breaker if it doesn't have a freezer or is too small. Thanks!

Looks perfect for a single or couple who love going off on cycling adventures, being able to transport expensive /electric bikes inside without having to dismantle them is a revolution. Also having a great shower/toilet, to wash off all the mud and sweat makes this layout complete. I’d been thinking of doing a van build, because it was the only way to achieve that lifestyle in a smaller space, but seems like motorhome designers are catching up fast, and doing it really well.

I like the layout of the second fan too, minus the decals and color pallette. What caught my eye is the foldable sink in the bathroom. Perhaps not the best execution yet but they are definitely onto something here. The shower is massive and although round edges give a more 'stylish' look, square places just utilize every square cm they have got. Spacious shower for sure! If that bed would also be electrical raised, they have a candidate winner here, especially for that price.

I can't understand why on earth they bother installing 2 flares in the kitchen, when you obviously cant use them both at the same time. Oh lord 🙈. Every single factory does that. They are to close to eachother, and you dont want to go get out your children's cooking set, to get a dinner on the table.
@pasho12now
@pasho12now 3 жыл бұрын
What you state here is not at all obvious for someone with plenty of cooking experience in a motorhome... The flares are standard apart and in my brother's old Hymer I typically use three if necessary at the same time with no problem whatsoever... the cooking in this context is of course not generally employing the utensils in the greater range for obvious reasons (space) but when I use the big pan for one meal I just overlay it to cover two of the flares at the same time. We have also traveled with friends and their motorhomes and it is the same in all of the other ones. No one has ever complained about this issue and cooking is greatly enjoyed by all... :D

Not useful in a neighborhood that does not allow these things to sit in the drive. You would need to "garage it", which would require a 10' garage door which would require a garage with a ceiling height of about 12 feet. In other words you need a house designed around the vehicle

I would love these types of RV in USA. Would anyone know the tax and shipping cost back to USA?
@VanlifewithAlan
@VanlifewithAlan 4 жыл бұрын
That is not the biggest problem - the biggest problem is if you can register the vehicle and unfortunately I don't have an answer. You would need to speak to the vehicle licencing agency which is local to you. But on the other side, you need to pay import tax plus purchase tax on the full amount which will include the shipping which would be around USD2,000. On the positive side, the price would be reduced by the amount of purchase tax, called Value Added Tax in the EU, which is around 15 - 20 percent depending on where the vehicle is bought. My advice would be to speak to a customs clearance agent who deals with vehicles.

Regarding the second van, the six-meter: this exemplifies a feature I see in most every RV and trailer offered an I don't get it. Why build a vehicle for one or two people then put in seating for four or six at a dining table, space that could be put to better use? I would like to see an option for a single recliner chair with a swingaway table with adjustable height.

i dont understand either. i keep looking at these things and theyre trying so hard to put in all this seating and im like "i'd rather have more space for the shower/tub, toilet, and perhaps a standing wardrobe over those extra seats any day." i prefer my toilet to be in a separate closet from the shower and i'd much rather make sure i have that then all this extra seating. a van is for 1 person or a couple (maybe bff's) , what are you going to have a bunch of people in your van for dinner? lol.

Yes, I would. I’d be using it for full time living. Most compact vans don’t have garage or enough storage space and tiny fridges. The first van in this video would be ideal for me. Only downside is the bathroom sink. I’d have to improvise and use a kitchen bowl on top of that tray over the toilet for a wash and shave.

Oo that oversized Storage compartment though. Thats overkill. Dont need anything like that. Like reduce the height of that by more then half. Give more Headroom in the bedroom area.

Europeans have much better design and layout than any American design.

I like the second layout better. I just wonder about the quality of the vehicles. US motorhomes and trailers have become horrible in quality of materials and construction. I've basically given up the idea of ever buying another one for that reason.

Whereas I know my way around European RVs quite well, I do not have much experience with those from the US. However it appears to me that the build quality in general is superior in Europe. One point I would make is that in Europe it is now unknown to hear of wood used in construction whereas I believe in the US it still happens.

A wide angled camera would improve your videos - with a GoPro 9 you don't need a gimbal.

Have a look at the more recent ones. On that day, I was using my phone as the camera battery had run out as had the three power packs I was carrying.

I wish New Zealand had these RV's and Vans. Most of the designs in New Zealand are ugly as. You'd mistake the 2010's and onwards for being built in the 80's on the inside.

It will work but at this price the insulation is not going to be designed for very cold temperatures.

First bathroom one would be good for some one with a baby deep enough to bathe baby in and changing table.
