The big rock does look cool. But in my opinion your better to buy a typhon 3s which has the 17mm hexes standard, and then if you want to turn it into something like the big rock, put some monster truck tires on it like the badlands mx28s, and then you have an awsome truggy as well as a buggy.

Yea the a arms r the same but the 1st thing I notice is how bad the front wheels are all outta whack on the big rock. I thought it was just mine but that one looks as bad as mine. Can't get to go straight at all.

I installed/added the big spring preload clips in the rear suspension and it helped not sway so much when going full throttle in a straight line. I’m sure if I stiffened up the fluid it would be even better.

The big rock for me out of the box flips over when u hit the throttle too hard.. i was having a hard time getting to run a straight line without flipping. I found that the rear shocks made it more stable but seems to have a hard time doing wheelies. Smaller tires on the big rock i think is better specially when doin speed runs. Might get a typhoon but the infraction seems like a better buy since the big rock and typhoon are close to similar.

I've gone through so many drive shafts in my outcast 4s and maxx i finally had to break down and pay 120 bucks each truck for proper drive shafts that don't snap every drive. I wish they would just go back to atleast steel dog bones.

Great video, the a arms have different part numbers. The senton, big rock have the same part numbers.

Jay Tee do you know if the RPM Typhon 3S arms will work on the Big Rock? A shop sold me Granite, Senton, Big Rock BLX arms and they didn’t work on the Big Rock, thanks

Don’t know man I find the big rock still flips over occasionally! Damn I can’t imagine how last years model was ? Overall it reminds me of the traxxas rustler 4x4 vxl the way it drives. Just wondering if you have steering issues with the Big Rock seems to turn by itself when u run it straight I’ve also adjusted the trim ?? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Gourob Kundu why not the new granite 3s? Kraton needs upgrades right out the box and the chassis can bend. The maxx is just like a beefier granite with a 4s system, but it needs the wide kit to be more stable. The granite is 200 dollars cheaper and is almost perfect out the box imo.

@@CoryFugger Hmm Kraton has a crap radio as of now...I might not get the granite because part support of Arrma is a bit weak here in India. It is easier to get Traxxas maxx parts, and I have been wanting the maxx since the day it was released. Also I like getting 2 runs out of 2 batteries than 1 run from 2 batteries. Earlier, I had thought of getting the E revo 2.0 which is my dream car, but thinking rationally, e revo is a pain. You need a lot of upgrades to get it running normally. So the maxx. BTW thanks for your advice.

Gourob Kundu one of my buddies has a maxx w a wide kit. He bashes that thing so hard and it doesn’t break. It’s a well built rig. I don’t think you’ll regret the maxx
