Jimin is often under estimated when it comes to song writing and producing. I love his creative mind and how he conveys not just a story but also raw emotions through his lyrics in a way that is very relatable. In a world where more and more mindless and meaningless music is being produced, Jimin and his music are a breath of fresh air. I look forward to whatever he created next!

Jimin is especially hard on himself and is a perfectionist. He won't put songs out there unless he believes 100% that it meets his standard. He also is not the type of person that boasts or promotes himself. He is so supportive of other members and often focuses on boosting their songs amd music more than his own. He is very critical of his own talents and always wants to keep improving even though we, as fans, think he is incredibly talented in everything he does. In the recent Suchwita episode with Taemin, he mentioned he was taking vocal lessons and starting from scratch. Taemin's reaction was the same as mine and probably the rest of us. Like why? He has such a unique tone and texture to his voice which makes him stand out above others. No one in the Kpop industry has that voice. I like a lot of the BTS music only because of Jimin's parts of the songs. The last few songs that BTS released were disappointing for me because Jimin was barely given any verses. I hope one day Jimin sees and believes that his vocal talent is on another level and accepts what we all know: his voice is pure, raw and pulls me into another world.😊
@bobbiyoung2935 Жыл бұрын
It could not be said better, you vocalize every single thing I would have addressed. Even to the point of towards the last he was lucky to get a line in, and i missed his voice so I went back to listening to older songs with him. I truly hope that he doesnt feel inferior because of so little lines and that's why he's taking vocal lessons. I love his vocals, he's not like anyone else, he's an anomaly in the music industry, no one can do jimin...but jimin, in every aspect of his talent..
@faizasamin13 Жыл бұрын
Jimin has talents but sadly he doesn't have the good environment to present it infront of people freely. I first thought bighit is a good company but later I understand they are way manipulative than other companies. Atleast Taemin, Kai, Taeyang these person can show and promote their songs freely without any problems. Here Jimin got criticism from his group members, company and sometimes those so called fans even though he's doing his best on his own without any outside help. I was so excited for jimin's 1st album but his company just ruined his promotion. Also good artists always work to better themselves. Jimin is doing the same. If he wanted to start it from scratch then it's for his own good. He wanted to diversify his vocal which he couldn't able to do in his group.
@beeteees6535 Жыл бұрын
@@bobbiyoung2935 I agree. I hope he doesn't feel inferior either. His vocals are so unique. I really missed hearing him in the last few BTS songs. He's easily the most versatile one in the Vocal line and overall, Jhope definitely comes close from the music we have seen from them so far, every song this man has put out so far is so different from one another, even in Face, literally every song is from a different genre. Man is the definition of unique in everything he does, whether it's his music, singing or dancing. Yet the lengths people go to discredit him and his artistry inorder to level other people up, and most of these people are within this fandom who stereotypes him and boxes him to fit their own narratives.

I think Jimin is great at misleading people in his writing basically his songs has layers. Lie for example, if you don't pay close attention to the lyrics or don't know him enough, you'll just think he's referring to a girl or someone else instead of himself. Another one is promise, at first glance it seems to be a love or romantic song to someone, cause in the song he paints that he's comforting someone and he even pinky swear with that person however if you don't pay close attention to the lyrics, you easily miss the first part were it says he was sitting alone, which means the person he's talking with all this time is still himself not someone else. It's more like he always unconsciously refer to himself as third person. Ex: Set Me Free pt2. When he says "Hey fool get out of my way". He's still referring to himself. "F*CK all YOUR ops!" the your is still him. Same in LIE, ALONE, LIKE CRAZY, FACE OFF. When Jimin writes, there's quite different version of him. In Lie he's talking to his shadow which is his stage persona who wants to swallow him. Next in Filter, it's his persona who's in control. In Like Crazy, he sees his unhealthy anima that he doesn't recognize, and the anima is s*cking the life out of him. In Promise, it's still himself comforting his lonely self. In Alone, he's still talking to himself. "The YOU who lost your way" Basically, in all his writing, it's always about internal struggle.

Jimina is never consumed by his stage persona though, or his image - as his stage name is his real name - his Stage persona is him - he was born to do this, loves to be with the fans & performing for them - it's only the endless criticism from none fans & certain parts of the Fame (that he mostly loves & craved!) that he struggles with - & the fighting to stay at the weight he prefers (when he isn't in Dance Practice 12 hrs per day) Lie espc & others were about his struggle to keep that v low weight; & how it all got a bit much (but he never had an ED - he knew what he was doing was wrong ergo he stopped - & has a lot of advice from Sports Therapists/Pedsonal trainers & doctors now. Nobody is more themselves on Stage than he though; it's the Offstage & Not working part that tend to trouble him - he loves to be Bangtan 7 days per week - as they used to do for Years; neither he nor Namjoonie like to take v long away from their Careers & that's ok too🙏🏻🇬🇧

Thank you so very much for putting into words the jumbled thoughts I've had in reading the Tannies' lyrics. I've had such a hard time trying to explain how brilliant they are because I lack the vocabulary needed for literary critique so I'm glad there are others who do. Jimin's not given enough credit in his contributions (not being manti - he also discounts his own contributions) so it fills my heart so full to have someone with quite brilliant insight break it down. A song not covered, Christmas Love, is considered a simple, almost childlike song... But I disagree. I just can't put the WHY into words. I would love to hear your thoughts on it, if you ever have a chance. (Also, the genius of Lie being mostly in the minor chords, with the line, "Caught in a Lie" in major - standing out as if the only truth (and yet is it?) - yeah, understated brilliance.)

Weird because dynamite success had a lot to do with Jimin ! members all resign with co -so my fear is when they “comeback” 2025 it will be the same presentation of members & Jimin will be placed on back burner yet again. I'm so happy that I came across your channel! It's such a pleasure to listen to the beautiful, well chosen words by which you describe Jimin's work. (I've only watched this video of yours so far, but I'm sure this applies to your other videos as well.) Thank you for sharing your expert knowledge and industry insight with us. I had many thoughts about Jimin's album and his documentary, but they were pretty much a mess. Thanks to your explanations, I've been able to tidy that up a little now. I, too, think that Jimin does not receive enough credit for his artistry. My impression is that his album was propelled up the charts by people who like Jimin (which is nice, of course). And I think he knows that, which makes it a bit difficult for him to take full credit for this success and just be proud of it. As for the press coverage he received, I think this is a reflection of the time we live in: a lot of content is being put out very fast, not much of it is thoroughly researched or properly thought through, people are being swamped with information and content, attention spans shrink, a constant haste and waste ... It's a shallow world we live in! Unfortunately, I don't understand Korean, so I depend on translations of Jimin's Korean lyrics. But even so I realise that they are very deep. Jimin's album "FACE" is not easy listening, but it deserves to be listened to from start to finish and with close attention. And Jimin deserves to be recognised as an exquisite artist and creator. - Oh, and I totally agree with you that “Friends” is the most beautiful song about friendship that was ever made.

But what was the lie in "Lie"?

He literally write his songs the same way he speaks its hard to fully understand what is he trying to say because he want us to understand only what he wants to revel which is not much 😅

You blew my 🤯 again 👏👏👏👏👏👏...I wonder what's your insight about Jimin's (or even JK and V) chances at winning in BBMA award? Also, when you talk about Jimin's singing style, is it possible to touch into some of the negative criticisms he received. Is it because of lack in technique? Or brought about the circumstances, etc? It might be too much but if it can be explained along the way I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I don't think Jimin wrote Like crazy alone.

He was the primary main songwriter of all the songs in Face. He's the one who came up with the idea of the song, from his favourite movie LC and wrote it by himself primarily and then got help. Most songs are written like that only.

based on the handwritten lyrics he generously shared and included in the weverse version album, he wrote 95% of it. There were some rearrangement and some words seemed to have been replaced.

You make the video too long, you speak slowly and very flatly. Additionally, you embellish your sentences too much and repeat yourself a lot. You give examples but you are not basing them on anything objective but on your own interpretation. What's more, you don't even explain, you just say that these rhetorical figures exist. You also take away the seriousness when you fangirl over Jimin. Honestly, the title of the video is better than the content. It's a waste of time
