Its basically purchasing power parity.

Good video! Appreciate you highlighting the absolute costs in Canada and India. This enables an easy comparison with other countries. I note people talking about PPP, however, this is just an absolute cost comparison. Nothing wrong with the comparison, it's just another measurement.

Since you haven't done a purchase parity analysis as someone in the comments rightly pointed out, so you should have talked about the minimum wage here in Canada, ON is approx $16.55/hour which is equivalent to INR 1024 / hour 😉

Indian lays costs $3.50-$4.00 for a 165g pack at Walmart. The Rs. 20 pack you're talking about only has 40g. The 70g Maggi noodles costs Rs 14 in India and not Rs 5. CAD$ 1.44 ~ Rs 89, and not Rs 100. Plus it's really no point converting $$ to Rs., unless you're going to be paying for your Canadian groceries with Indian money. Instead, you could do a comparative analysis.. for instance, like what percentage of earnings do you spend on groceries in India.vs Canada. I suggest you to recheck facts before posting the videos. Because you need to win audience's trust that you know what you're talking about. All the best with your channel. Cheers.

I actually like his comparison because it is in absolute value which enables us to compare with our own country currency.

@@JZ2445 I appreciate his effort. But this comparison is only useful if you're going to be here as a short term visitor, paying off your expenses with your Indian earnings. If you are here as a student or on work permit or as a PR, it doesn't make much sense to convert into INR. Cheers.
