Comparing Intuition Liners / Pat Ridder - Skate Premium Liners

In tighter boots like Roces M12 and Razors Cult I have made horrible experiences with the Intuition premium liner (too stiff on top, painful pressure points on the sides and heel, incredible noisy, annoying vertical backleash with slips always together with the foot into the liner when putting them on). But I think in wider boots they fit much better. I tried them in a pair of Them 908 and there they fit perfect with no pressure points. Quality is good, but for tight boots they are in my eyes the completely wrong choice. And if you take off the backcovers to make them less wide, then you have as you said saidly too less support on top. So I think, that it is really better to use them in wider skate models. There, they could probably also be an interesting option to make skates tighter if you have narrow feet and want to use a skate with a wider shell. I could not use the Them 908 with the stock liners for example because they were for my narrow feet too roomy. The same with Razors SL. But with the Intuition premium liner they fit both ways better because they make them tighter. Just for information...😉

Yeah that makes sense, also why I showed the pat ridder and v2 liners side by side. The v2 is definitely wider. There's so many ways to set up your skates, it's all dialing it in to customize what works for your skate style and feet ✌🏽 thanks for sharing homie, hope it helps others in the same boat

I have the same size Pat liner but need a little more room in length. Are the 8 premium liner the same length inside? As im unsure whether to get the 9 because the 8 was bigger externally. Thanks

Na, the 8us premium is alittle longer, about half a size, give or take. The them liners also have slightly more padding but mainly on the sides.. Best thing to do is to see if anyone in your area has the liner you can try on for size 🤷🏾‍♂️ most people are pretty awesome and helpful

I don’t even like intuition liners, but if they made a more budget version for $100 with the same quality, they would clean up the floor and prob put every liner out of business.

Yeah fair enough, they don't work for every boot in my opinion 🤷 but yes, they would clean up

Pretty much only thing stopping me trying out intuition liner is the price, I’m sure the quality/workmanship/research and effort that goes into them goes a way to justifying the price but are they really THAT good to justify being near on double the cost of any other “premium” liner? But totally agree if they where even £30-£50 cheaper would be a lot easier to swallow

@@Peteskates yeah they're a great product but personally I don't like the feel of them, they're incredibly responsive which means they're a whole lot stiffer than anything I'm used to. So I'd recommend trying them out before buying if you can. I've got the Danny Beer ones which look incredible, but they've ended up sitting on the shelf. I'm all about the squidge of the Myfits and stock liners.

Coincidentally you have the same foot size as me about 25.3cm, I just bought a fr ufr ap size 39-40 but I feel my big toe hurts, do you feel it too? It looks like my big toe touching the shell, is that normal? Will the liner conform to the shape of my feet if I use it continuously? Thank you

Sup man, nice that you have the same size foot! I actually went the size up for the fr ufr. I got the 40.5- 41.5 EU liner. I can't remember if I did a review thing on it or not... Try heat moulding the toe area by putting a heat bag in there, then put your future in them to try stretch it out. Does that make sense?

What would you suggest for aeons 72mm. Id like to ideally by another pair. FR or another that comes with the intuition but these sizes are frustrating. Id like to have use for both skates .. but until then my aeon she’ll is 39 and I’d like 3-5cm more all around

Sorry man, I've never skated aeons 🤷🏾‍♂️ I'm not sold on them and usd can be very hit or miss for me with my feet size/shape. I really enjoyed the FR's but it one of those things.. you don't until you skate them. Everyone is different with what they like in a skate

Thems intuition is a little thicker. Mainly the sides. They're made specifically to fit their 909 boot ✌🏽

@minseokchoi7857 more around the foot area. Cuff is about the same but the tounge is different. Tounge on pat ridder is the same as intuition v1. Intuition premium has a thicker tounge and it's reinforced. Personally I prefer the harder tounge as it gives you more responsiveness. The new them/intuition (silver & bacethem) is best of both worlds 👌🏽 its the intuition I've been waiting for

I thought the intuition pat ridder liner 8-8.5 could be thinner but it seems still thick even thicker than premium liner. Hope to see your review about basethem soon🤙

Na I gave them away. Hard to day how they would feel, pretty good I assume. Depends on what end of sizing you are with the boot 🤷🏾‍♂️
