I am black and my hair was originally super tightly coiled, it came in blonde at first then changed to black with more grey on the sides. The texture also changed and became wavy in some places and bone straight in others. It has been a very neat and interesting experience to go thru🙂 5 mo post chemo

Im glad to see this comment because i couldnt find other black people talking about the color and texture change after chemo. Originally my hair would grow in thick and dark but my chemo hair so far seems thinner and like a ginger color sorta

Hi Chelsey I’m 1 yr and 4 months post chemo although I had surgery and radiation in this period. My hair growth has been so slow but extra slow because I have chemo curls and they shrink the hair length!!! My hair was also a mousy brown, medium brown and straight. My hair came back really dark, almost black and curly lol! Trying to grow it out is a nightmare as the back gets scruffy and the curls shorten the top length. Don’t know if my curls will fall out or not I will just have to wait and see. Your hair looks awesome and you look beautiful. Continue with good health x
