Nick Diaz was one of the first fighters i saw Way back in the day on Spike Tv. They had this show UFC Unleashed and watching that show really got me into the sport.

Dude Martial, that EA MMA Nick Diaz fight is the most entertaining gameplay I’ve ever seen from you. It’s amazing how much worse the new games are at replicating Diaz’s style. I wish they were better for it. It’s the way the older games stamina system works, you just can’t constantly throw like that in the new games.

But the ground game is night and day, and then the rocks and the ref interacts on submissions, honestly surprised they didn’t add that in, you can actually finish the fight in crucifix, or side control and there’s an interaction for it, I hate how you rock someone in crucifix and it goes to the side position where you can hammer fist, it looks better with new stoppages in 5 but still wish it was just a seamless interaction from crucifix, but refs gotta interact with subs in ufc 6

ud3 is the greatest mma sim. obviously the games striking isn’t as good as ufc 5 but as martial states, the FEEL of it is amazing. the impact, details, the slo mo rocks, ground animations, the way the ground plays etc. if you haven’t sat down and played it I suggest you should. it’s incredible

The input lag in ufc5 is insane, practice mode is basically useless because I barely feel any in there then when I go to online it’s turned up like fucking x10, head movement in practice mode is smooth, then when I go to online head movement is fucking terrible, I try flicking the sick and it doesn’t work, It’s like you have to tell the fucking future, when I do see the kick or punch coming I press to block but the input lag fucks me up. I’m trying but this game is fucking me up with how slow it is. And don’t get me started on the counter punching I just fucking can’t do it, because the other player has like infinite fucking combos I can’t find a way to get in there.

@@MartialMind yes because it’s actually facts it is by far the best mma game to date and it was their first try. Every fight actually felt unpredictable i could have a bunch of fights end in two seconds or have an absolute 5 rd war. I had fights where i got my ass kicked and won with a late 5th rd decision. The online features and progression system was top tier as well i loved the jiu jitsu belt ranking system and the live broadcast. Idk why you stand up for ufc 5 the knock down animations are super repetitive most knockdowns you never feel a real threat of danger you know that it’s just a knockdown that you can’t do anything with. The striking has no fluidity, the animation of their strikes are god awful it looks like they don’t even know how to throw proper punches sometimes. I will say the grappling in EA 5 is obviously better (the ground portion anyway, clinch is terrible ) but striking is not even close two different worlds. If EA mma had a mainstream roster i think most people would still play it today

Why EA MMA lowkey got the best graphics and highkey got the best punch animations and power scale? Undisputed 3 had the best ground and stance of the 3 while UFC 5 got the best crowd involvement… newer games just don’t be the same. All aesthetics with an online option and little to no gameplay. (It’s EA so we’re not finna talk about paying to win😭 plus u don’t have to pay to win in these so yee!)
