In this mid week video I am seam sealing tents. I notice there are alot of KZbinrs out there litterally jinxing it on bad weather so i guess this a good video since I have to Seam seal the new tents anyway.

Just to mention the innertent floor is 70D, i think i said 10 but thats wrong. Tent poles are pretty close to match also DAC standard. Recently the Verns poles however will be upgraded to 10mm, as plenty of.winter tents actually have this.

when you double pole, you attach a clip to each pole, no need for tape.

Love the look of the Vern 1 Polycotton but nearly everyone seems to complain about the weight which is substantial, If I was young enough to be carrying a tent I’m sure I would look for a lightweight option as well. Polycotton is a great material for tents though.

I think more and more Ultralighters are starting to figure out the more UL you get, the less comfortable you be too. I am about to travel with the PC Vern 1 to the mountains so stay turned because its gonna be a rainy one. Thanks for watching.

I seamsealed both my Vern 1 tents (old and new model) using the mixed content of the seamseal tube with white spiritus. I applied the mix with a brush on the outside of the tents. TBH I think you’re doing it wrong.

Nah, i been doing it for over 30 years not only with a nortent.. I only use White Spirit for removing chemicals. Been working great.

seamsealing of a new tent ? -> ultimate deal-breaker !

Really? I could not disagree more. And I know plenty dont either. I am working though for an outdoors store and there I have like at least 10 brands. Seamsealing is not usually a "dealbreaker" And plenty of bad and good brands decide not to have too. Seam sealing is a good money saved in cash and sealer, as well like isay in the video you get to check the quality and tent preps before heading out.

I have never needed to seam seal a Polycotton or cotton canvas tent.

@@hypo345 Me neither, but it too have sew stiches, so I am gonna test Vern PC on rainy this week. To see how it will perform
