I asked myself too, cause I heard the PTSD version of Sleepwalk entirely the 1st time and I never heard Miku singing. And honestly I never thought that was possible a Vocaloid tune as a other one.

Is it just me who prefers the 2013 ver. of brain revloution girl? it just sounds a lot more rough around the edges which adds to the song imo. But the drum doesn’t override the vocals as much in the 2016 ver…

Oof, the Snow White Princess just doesn't hit right in the remake. It's not soft enough to be emotional, nor energetic enough to be something you bop your head along to. It just sounds like it's...muffled? Underwater? Like somebody took the song on KZbin and played it at a slower speed.

Honestly agreed. It's almost funny in my opinion! Chain Girl and Monochrome Blue Sky were both relatively slow in their original forms but greatly sped up in their remakes, but for Snow White Princess (the only one of the three that benefitted from being fast-paced in its original) the exact opposite happens!

This is sort of why I prefer the meiko cover so much more! She provides the song enough energy to suit the vibe of the music! I really like the song as it is, but meiko really gives a kick to it

@chroniccalamitea6339 Oh DEFINITELY. Kyaami REALLY knew what she was doing when she used Meiko. Meiko just has so much more power and emotion in her voice compared to the Miku version which is softer and more flat. Like, Miku is serviceable. But MEIKO absolutely KILLS IT. God I love Meiko so much. She is just, so GOOD, yet so underlined and underutilized.

Sometimes I never find differences in remade songs so this helps a lot Also, if I’m not mistaken some of mothyP’s songs are also remade (namely the seven crimes and punishments songs and their opposing songs) like servant of evil and daughter of evil have different instrumentals! Judgement Of Corruption and Gift from the Princess of sleep’s instrumentals sound the same but they have drastic tuning. It’s a good comparison of 2009-2011 vs 2015 And also. Snowman rerec. I love snowman. Sorry if my English is really bad right now I have limited vocabulary when it comes to talking about songs and their arrangements Again, thank you for this video!

Honestly, I didn't remember that The End of Hatsune Miku had 4 remakes, I only remembered 2 remakes, the InfiniteHOLIC ver. and the 2018 one. And for Part 6, could you add Rotten Heresy and Chocolate by PinocchioP? It has the original one, the Obscure Questions ver., the Comic and Cosmic ver., the HUMAN ver. and the META mix.

Utsu-p has a habit of taking his old songs and making them a bit too "clean" and removing a lot of the energy from them. Better audio mixing doesnt necessarily mean better song imo. Best example i can think of is Chocolate Girl. The original version is better than the remake.

Yea, especially songs from Traumatic that got "washed" in PTSD. The dying message and Vermin hits wayyy harder in Traumatic. However, imo Sleepwalk is better in the remake idk maybe im Rin bias.

I feel like Potato Head in Wonderland and Anti-Digitalism got hit the hardest with this, A-D sounds so empty without the electronic beeps during the prelude to the bridge. As for Potato Head, Miku just sounds bored during the newer versions.

I didn't read that Miku is tuned like Rin, but I read comments on a video of the song that said what parts are Miku and Rin. They're just youtube comments so it's not confirmed but they think the same thing as me. Also Rin has 3 voicebanks : power, warm and sweet. Power is used in the chorus and I hope you can at least hear that the other parts don't use the same voicebank. It's definitely not sweet because it's not high pitch and cute. Warm is supposed to sound deeper. The verse could be warm tuned higher than usual but the pre-chorus is even higher and sounds a bit more like Miku than the verse. But in any case, it's confirmed by Utsu-P that he used Miku. The song Constipation of Death is in the same case where he said he used Rin and Miku but Miku is harder to hear. And with Vermin it's the opposite, Rin is harder to hear. There is also the song God Willing where he used Rose in the chorus and Coko for the other parts. And also Final Fantasy where Miku sings the clean vocals and Gumi the screams. So it's not the only time where it would have been hard to tell there are multiple characters if he didn't say it.

@@bluestar3939I can clearly hear Miku in the chorus though, and the verses are absolutely unmistakably Rin, not Miku. Saying that “Miku is tuned to sound like Rin” is just incorrect, and I wouldn’t just claim it without a source. Rin is used for the verses and the chorus, whilst Miku is used as harmonies/backup singer for the chorus.
