Thank you for such a well done, informative video, Amber. I own the RMS concealer and have tried most other brands. The only other brand concealer that I wear besides my own, Hynt concealer is RMS. Rosemarie has amazing products and I do use several of them. Most of the other brands fail in my opinion. I do like the WELL People concealer as well. Without synthetic binders, any natural concealer will migrate into tiny lines over the course of the day. It is easy to fix: Midday when you go to the wash room, after you wash and dry your hands, using the ring finger, lightly dab areas that have the concealer, re-blending--that goes for any brand concealer. It believe that it is important to use some common sense when using natural products. It is more important to focus on the fact that we are all using safer products by companies employing better ethics all the way around. LOVE your channel. Keep up the fine work. xoxoxooxMeryl, co-founder of Hynt Beautyoxoxoxox

Thanks for the re blending tip. Could you please consider reformulating your concealer so it no longer contains hydrogenated oil (which is toxic & absorbed through the skin)? I can't find a good natural concealer - yours might not even be suitable for me, as EVERY natural concealer I've tried is too dark & too yellow for me (i have very unusual/extreme colouring it seems), but I'd like to be able to try it. Also, I adore your lipstick & lip gloss formulas, but none of the colours really work on me - they're all too muted & warm toned (and/or too light; I don't look good in light lip colours). I'd love to see a dark, BRIGHT violet & a dark, bright blue toned red (like Nudus Revenge but a bit darker). I love your mascara, it's the best I've tried - so happy you released a brown! - maybe consider more colours (especially cool gray, plum, royal or navy blue, emerald green), since they're hard to find in natural beauty. Plastic-free packaging would be awesome too! Vegan isn't important at all to me - carmine & beeswax in particular are so useful. Thank you for any considerations. :)

Really nice of you to respond and share some tips and picks! Your side looked better btw! And I agree with the poster above about being fine with non-vegan products, if that's what it takes to get them looking nice. And I completely concur as a redhead in terms of not wanting just black mascara. I find that there are never any coppery browns available, and I have to go to sites dedicated for redheads to find it (and they don't focus on clean beauty)!

@@lockergr The purpose of nontoxic, natural beauty products is to be kindly safe for our skins, and lovingly towards not contributing to animal testing, as well. No product should be harming an animal, when there's plenty other forms to testing products safely. Product performance can surely improve throughout time & trial & error of experimentation - as well as understanding natural makeup is revoluting into being what's Best for our largest organ; our skin, but using common sense that it'd rarely compare to [low/high] toxic conventional makeup products.

I’m so excited for my Hynt concealer to come in the mail!! :) I have lots of hyperpigmentation I try to cover up almost daily, so I loveeee the idea of a good AND non toxic concealer! I am dealing with some extremely high estrogen levels and cleaning up my life is really important right now. I hope people who are doing just fine and are being healthy also make sure to be aware of all the things we put in and on our bodies! Better safe than sorry!

I actually found the hynt one hard to work with because it's so thick but i just got the rms one and it's much easier for me to apply. the hynt one took way too much time to pat into the skin. Also the the hynt 'light' was a bit too dark for me and rms 00 is a better match so maybe that's why im liking it more.

I recently got the hynt one, but it is much thicker and more like a cream product, and the packaging is different with a pink lid!

Thank you so much for this great review, was just about to order the RMS until I saw your video and now I think the Hynt is more suitable for me and have just ordered that in the lightest shade. They both look lovely on you but as the Hynt has more coverage, so I went with that. I'm Irish and uber pale so hope it is a good match. The fact you said it has good lasting power sold it too. Thanks for the hints and tips in applying, you have a new sub :)

Are you able to do a comparison between these concealers and the W3ll People concealer? I've seen it on Target's website for around the same price as the Hynt one and have been wondering if I should try it.

I really like the well people concealer actually. Its in my other concealer review video and also I use it in my no makeup, makeup video if you want to see it in action! I have the light shade and its a bit dark for me in the winter, I definitely could use the fair with my skin tone at the moment. Definitely recommend since its easy to get your hands on at Target!

I finally got the Hynt concealer now, after seeing various reviews and stuff, but sadly I don't liked it! It does have very good coverage, and also a little goes a long way because of this, BUT, it looks so unnatural! It doesn't blend well into my skin. It looks and feels very dry on. Even though I have combination skin, and I do apply a moisturizer and a serum before. Any tips about what can I do to fix this problem? It looks like so obvious I have makeup on, like you can really tell where it is - if you know what I mean. Like if a child would have applied my concealer. I tried with my finger, with a damp beautyblender (the original) and also with a brush... but it always looks like that. I have the new formula with the pink lid. I found it looks very thick on the skin. Please help !
@amberandrews16045 жыл бұрын
Yes I know what you mean, I haven't been using mine in a while because it is a bit dryer! Im wondering if your shade might not be a great match (perhaps too light) which is making it even more obvious?? but I would try using little amount of product, warm it up between your two ring fingers and dab it into the eye for the most natural look. If you need something more moisturizing and full coverage, check out the fitglow concealer or something lighter coverage the Ilia concealer :) Hope this helps!!

I’m a teenager (17 years) looking for a clean concealer to use for my dark circles, I’m not sure which to decide as a I have kind of a dry skin and want to conceal my dark circles but I don’t wear foundation. Which would you recommend for me? In deciding between Hynt duet concealer, 100% 2nd skin concealer and the ilia serum concealer. 😊 or do you recommend other clean concealers?

I really wish you had taken a bit more time initially and applying the concealer so we could have seen if it could have covered up purple circles fully. On the RMS side it's really showing through and uneven. I have darker circles than you do, and so the product would have a lot more to correct. 😋 What is the best full coverage under eye concealer that you have found? Neither of these look full coverage to me. But thanks so much for the tips!
@non_toxicgreen19677 жыл бұрын
This was such a well made video and covered all aspects. I have both and agree with you on all parts. I just use the one depending on need. Sometime I need more natural look, in which case I use RMS and if I need full coverage for an event I use the Hynt one. 💜
@maidende82806 жыл бұрын
Another great review & comparison! Such a shame that Hynt's contains toxic hydrogenated oil, it is so highly rated by so many & it sounds like it might actually be light enough for my ultra pale skin. RMS definitely looks far too yellow for me, & probably 000 isn't light enough. Have you ever tried mixing the two for in between colour & coverage? What lipstick are you wearing here? It's such a pretty shade & you wear it beautifully, especially considering your warmer colouring.

The hynt one always creases under my eyes. Do you use a damp beauty blender with the powder to set it?
@amberandrews16047 жыл бұрын
I use a very lightly dampened beauty blender when I set it. And I would maybe try using less product altogether or building it up slowly. I find if I use too much Hynt concealer it doesn't look good on me either.

The one I used for ages that's a face lotion and spf all in one is the Andalou Naturals daily shade lotion. Its not the cleanest of all, but its affordable and so convenient to have the all in one! Now I'm using separate with the Mad Hippie facial moisturizer + the Hynt Sun Prep spf :)

Amber, is that the older or newer Hynt concealer formula? Have you ever mixed creamy concealer with moisturizer to create your own foundation? Your crow's feet are definitely from smiling, not age!
@amberandrews16047 жыл бұрын
It is the slightly older packaging. After it was in a tube and before they repackaged to the light pink lid tops, but I believe the same formula as what is being sold now. I haven't tried mixing it with a moisturizer, I have seen other girls do that on KZbin but believe that would be way too much coverage for what I like as a foundation personally! :)

Thank you! I need to learn how to apply mineral foundation. The coverage is so different than what I'm used to with liquid foundation, that I think I didn't apply enough to my face or the brush. Any solid beginner tutorials you recommend?
@amberandrews16047 жыл бұрын
Denise Marie slowly building up a powder or mineral foundation is the way to go. I have a video on how I apply the Alima pure mineral/powder foundation on my channel but I’m sure there’s a ton out there! Mostly a lot of buffing and slowly building up layers to desired coverage!
