I want to clarify something like olive oil. Saudi Arabia has the largest olive farm in the world, and most of the olive products are locally made, and most of the basic foods are manufactured in Saudi factories, such as milk, poultry, wheat, and other products.

There is a difference between chicken prices from one company to another in Saudi Arabia. There are more than 9 local companies in Saudi Arabia and they compete in prices. The other thing is that Saudi Arabia has the largest olive farm in the world in the Al-Jawf region in northern Saudi Arabia and produces fine olive oil.

Hey, don't know if someone already mentioned this, but just wanted to clarify, at 1:45 , Laban in Saudi Arabia is not milk, but something in between milk and yoghurt (not sure what it's called in English). In Egypt yes, Laban is milk, but not in Saudi. Milk in Saudi is called Haleeb, and Laban is something else, that we in Egypt call Rayeb. I'm pretty sure milk (Haleeb) would be much cheaper than Laban.

Go to Home Bargains if you have one and wait for the supermarkets to do deals. Shopping is still much cheaper for me in the UK than Saudi. Also as a Brit, I eat a lot of British foods which pushes up the prices. Also if you care about organic or health foods, it’s way more expensive in Saudi.
@salamanca662418 күн бұрын
I am Saudi and I have been living in the UK for 6 years. Before the inflation of prices, the UK was slightly less than Saudi Arabia, but real estate in Saudi Arabia is much less, which makes Saudi Arabia less expensive to live in, even though salaries are similar. But now, after the inflation of prices, Saudi Arabia is less expensive than the UK in food prices. I would like to add another piece of information: UK supermarkets sell very small sizes that are barely enough for two people, and this is because the UK is a society of disintegrated families. As for the supermarket packages in Saudi Arabia, they are family sizes that are enough for at least 5 people. This also makes the price in Saudi Arabia the wholesale price and less expensive as well.

Prices in Saudi for the same product vary quite a bit from one brand to the other and from one store to the next. Some items have a much higher demand, some are made locally while others aren't, some have imposed taxes while others benefit from government support. Just so you know.😊 If the store didn't have a sign prohibiting filming or taking pictures inside they have no right to do what they did.
