They’re pretty much the same machine - it’s the same design When we bought the rights off Bosch we didn’t take the names we only took the designs so the Atco balmoral is now the Kensington - with a few changes over time

I have a Qualcast classic petrol 35 - similar to the Allett classic in this video, I also bought the scarifier cassette, and have scarified the lawn with it. The only problem I have with it is the grass box keeps on popping-out of the metal tubular cradle - which is annoying and unsafe, I have to release the blade lever and put the engine into idle and knell down and press the box back onto the cradle and continue mowing 😕, it appears that the vibration from the engine is causing that, and when they designed the Kensington/copied it from acto, the box is hung onto the frame - which would prevent that from happening 😉.

We have the Allett Classic that replaced the Qualcast Classic Petrol.. same grass box design. Have you got the moulding into the hoop at the front rather than on the hoop?

@@ALLETTMOWERSUK - 🤨, the grass box is quite old (as is the mower itself) if the plastic is worn out and that it has lost its ability to grip the cradle? I see if I get the mower out later and take some pictures and comment them to this thread -

Yes it fits! We don’t recommend it due to the fact you’ve only got preset heights of cut with the Classic so you’re not going to get the best out of the cartridge Laura

I wonder can the galvanised front roller and comb be added to the Classic to add weight and cut efficiency/effectiveness?

Some people have done this themselves but it’s not something that’s on the less premier products as a standard feature The rake and steel front roller is on the Kensington and liberty 43

2000 usd vs 1500. My new liberty 43 the self propelled belt/ spring was out of adjustment, bail handle tension was to loose, took multiple times to get the setting correct where i could hand push when i get around bushes and shrubs and at the same time get the rear roller to self propell. How about a video lesson on getting the correct fine adjustment. Thanks.

Having bought a classic 14 a couple of years ago, and having bought the verticutter, scarifier, dethatcher cartridge at the time, I’m quite perturbed that you’re now saying the classic is only really ideal for the normal and scarifier cartridge? Not sure why you would’ve sold the other cartridges in that case.

Also, with the other cartridges, there isn’t an ‘ideal’ height which is mentioned when bought.

Hi paul this is only because you’re stuck with 6 pre set heights You get much more precision with the Liberty 43 / Kensington model as you can change the height of cut incrementally

Demos cost us around £500 each to do so there would be no money in it for us as a business unfortunately It would be great to be able to host an open day where customers can come and have a play on one

@@ALLETTMOWERSUK I understand that. There are people on KZbin using your mowers already and work on great lawns like Daniel Hibbert lawn expert. He had Britains best lawn in 2016. I think you do a good job selling the products I just think you need to use better lawns And have some of the professionals putting the product through their paces.

@@dazzaloose Daniel uses allett mowers yes We are always on the look out for allett KZbinrs but they need to be Allett users. We don’t want to be giving mowers to people who are only saying good things because we’re paying them to- that’s not something we do. We would rather support allett KZbinrs who already have our products

The engine We have now swapped the engine to a Briggs and Stratton XR550- it was a Kawasaki engine before
