🎥 Video Transcript: I was asked the other day, why does it cost more to do a dental implant instead of just a crown on a tooth? Well, that's a good question. Let me clear some things up here about that.
A crown on a tooth is just that it's a crown on a tooth.You cut the tooth down, doing a dental preparation on it. For a crown prep, we have a crown manufactured. It's a fairly simple process. In our office, it's two visits. You do the crown prep in one visit, and then you do the seating of the crown in another visit.
Whereas a dental implant, you're not only replacing the material on the top of the tooth, but you've got to replace that root of the tooth. So you've got to take the old tooth out, and then you put a dental implant in the bone that's got to heal over time. We've got different components that go on top of that implant while it's healing. Then we take those off. We use scan bodies. We've got to do a scan on that tooth, and we have to have a special crown made. We like to do them where we screw them into place. And it's a different process entirely than just doing a crown.
So it does cost more, but we try to keep those prices in - it's replacing a tooth, really, instead of just doing a crown. But the price of the dental implant in our office is about the same as doing a bridge that would replace a tooth. So we try to hold that price down so that everybody can afford to do one.

At my dentist it’s cheaper to do the implant! And how this dentist fails to explain is how much it cost for the freaking root canal and then the crown by the time you’re done with one tooth it’s going to cost you $3000 or more!!!!! So you tell me how the implant is cheaper???

Some people never have dental issues, so it would likely be a language barrier, some people asking are young, but once it's explained like in this video that you are gonna be ripped off like everything else no matter what you do ?....were known as fat America.....now were headed for UGLY AMERICA...RAGEDY MOUTH AMERICA.....lol...you start to think of stuff like?..making your own tooth and putting it in yourself with Gorilla glue!
