I just bought a F20 mask/headgear because my original one they gave me finally broke. And I'm laying here thinking why is there not a rush of air coming out... So I was concerned. This video helped, I now know where the exhaust is... Super quiet compared to my old exhaust above the nose mask.

I wish I had seen this video before I bought the n20 mask. I wanted to change the F&P Eson mask that I have been using for years because it was hurting my forehead, so I bought the N20 mask. It fits very well on the face and is very comfortable, but the exhaust port is very uncomfortable for both me and my wife.

For the N20, is it normal to feel air continuously coming out of the exhaust port, even when breathing in?

I have always wondered if masks are designed to release same amount of exhaust? In other words are they targeting for a similar percentage? I get different AHI numbers with different masks?

I've been having trouble with all the masks exhaust (yes i have them all)... The exhaust isn't getting fully cleared between breaths, and the air I'm breathing doesn't feel fresh. I'm breathing in warm air. If I continue breathing in this manner, eventually I feel like I'm running out of air and have to take the mask off. This feeling isn't just there when I'm awake. It happens when I'm asleep too and I rip my mask off after about an hour or so. I tried modifying the airfit 20 exhaust valve by removing the rubber stoppers but it made things worse. Idk what to do. I just want to breath fresh air. I wish they had better exhaust ports that clear the old air out better.

I tried my N20 last night for the first time. All the air blasts out the exhaust and leaves not adequate air for me to breathe. I was only able to tolerate it for 3 hours. In those 3 hours it used all the water in the reservoir. Called the company and they said I didn't put it together correctly and to watch you tubes. not helpful.

I have just bought an N20 redmed to replace my N30 because i didn’t like the sensation of the pillow against my nose, but the N20 has all this air blowing out the front which was totally unnoticeable on the N30. I get that there needs to be a vent but it actually feels like it is diminishing the pressure, i feel like i am not getting enough air to breathe let alone keep my throat open. How come this is okay? Surely it is reducing pressure?

N30 is a more modern mask and they have worked on the feel of the exhaust as time has passed. N20 has bigger volume for pressure to so may not feel as direct. It works well, a very popular mask.

@@SleepRightAustralia thanks, i wish i didn’t feel like i wasn’t getting enough air. Perhaps if i hadn’t used the other one originally, but i prefer the head gear (more secure) and the reduced contact with my nostrils on this one. Hopefully i will get used to it.

@@stonewarebirds3620 chat to your supplier/doctor and perhaps they can bump up pressure? If using as10 test a high pressure with mask fit feature

I have an N20 and I hate the exhaust. Is there a diffuser/filter that fits on it ?

When you put your hand over the exhaust on the F20 you can't feel any air coming out. Is that normal?

They’ve designed an elbow called quiet air which aimed to minimise how much air could be felt/heard from the exhaust. Sounds like it is doing it’s job! How old is the mask?

@@SleepRightAustralia Great video, on topic, thorough and concise. I have been through 2 of the quiet air connectors about every 8 months, due to clogging obstruction. It is nearly noiseless. However, under the transparent cap on the outside of the vent holes is a fiber filter that gets clogged, and cannot be accessed for cleaning. Please give your expert instruction and opinion on how to clean or service to minimize expense of replacement. I tried removing the filter material and it resulted in loud whistling and other offensive air noises. Replacing the filter would require damaging the connector, from what I can determine. Cheers!
