the snaps not going all the way to the end is not a dead giveaway. that's the original Gucci design, but buyers were complaining that it's bending so Gucci updated the design the following year. basically, if it doesn't go all the way just means it's an older model. (edit: used proper nouns)

What I really want is a bag with no (or really minimal) hardware, and that's hard to find in both the luxury and high street markets. I really want to invest in some bags that can be paired with gold and silver jewelry, and the hardware on a bag can really hinder that (I don't believe in exact matching, but bags and jewelry can really be off-kilter). For example, I have a great *unidups* black bag that goes with my gold jewelry, but the obvious silver hardware makes it unmatchable, which is really frustrating.
