They sound almost identical. Here is the difference. The Grandee is available now and is affordable. Pre war Gibson Flatheads are available but are expensive. The Gold Tone will only sound better as it settles in and the player learns how to pull the tone that want out of it. I have Twanger #15 and it plays like a dream and sounds exactly like I want it to. Great video Gabe. Thanks for posting .

2nd one has more upper mids so you hear the 'sparkley' harmonic interactions. The first one is bright in the highs, but sounds darker overall cause the low mids come through. or so i think. 1st sounds 'balanced'. 2nd sounds 'clear'. both sound great

The first one sounded a little different. Better? Thats a matter of opinion and taste. The difference in cost is noticeable!
