I never thought Jessop sounded like a bad guy, which is why he always works for me. I can't hear Waugh or Douglas and hear anything but a comic book villain; there's no logical reason someone would trust either of them, but Peter Jessop? He sounds like a reasonable authority figure.

All the game VAs have their place in Wesker's making. Sergio Jones fits the original RE's cheesy feel. Peter Jessop perfectly fills the remake's role of Wesker as a calm and calculating villain, Richard Waugh brought the character back as the booming, confident villain we love, and DC Douglas brings him into the over the top supervillain he is now.

Well...this one is hard! Therefore, I will rank the performances. 1) Peter Jessop--he literally captures the menacing undercurrent of Wesker's character. 2) Richard Waugh because he captures Wesker's calculated tone in his personality. 3) DC Douglas...because he gave one hell of a performance in RE5. Why later voice actors provided a slight british tone to Wesker is a question I want answered in the future. It made no sense.

@@suckerp991 It's cause most don't know or remember CVX. Most were big on the numbered ones, and this one just wasn't as big. It's like RE outbreak and outbreak file #2. It's a great multiplayer re game that would probably do super well today, but most just don't even know about it and just how good it was. Instead we gets games like Resistance (not too bad of a game) and a third person pvpve game. I can't even remember the name it was so bad.

Richard Waugh is way better interpretation when we consider Wesker from RE4. DC Douglas does what is required of him, but RE5 Wesker is written as a pure cheese villain from some silly B movie action. I prefer Wesker as a traitorous, cold, cruel, mocking, calculating bastard with a spice of mystery to him. And Waugh/Jessop fits that writing way more imo.

Well I agree. I liked Wesker in the first games because he was mysterious and had this double face (captain and scientist). DC Douglas did an awesome job with his voice but the Wesker in RE5 acts like an obvious villain, and I didn't like him as much as I liked him before.

RE 5 had BY FAR the best voice actors. DC Douglas as Wesker, Roger Craig Smith as Chris and Patricia Ja Lee as Jill. All of them have the perfect voices for each character and all of them did an excellent job.

Richard Waugh is a personal favorite of mine but Peter Jessop is the BEST Wesker, only because he sounds more believable as a S.T.A.R.S/Police Captain as he was originally intended. I can't imagine applying for a job at S.T.A.R.S and hearing a British accent/Richard Waugh or DC Douglas Wesker walking me through the job or holding a staff meeting. But I definitely can hear Peter Jessop doing so and it sounding believable. Richard Waugh's Wesker sounds more like an Agent/Scientist/Researcher/ which he nails spot on.
