For the mufflers, I would have to go with the M-80. I have two 2002 Silverados both with the 5.3, my dads truck has a cherry bomb glass pack on it and I like the idle but the drone is horribly loud. My Silverado is straight piped, and I LOVE the sound of it what is a bit weird is how my truck is straight piped, but it's not loud at all in the cab until you roll the window down but it has no drone. I prefer the straight pipe because of it not having any drone noise. I am curious about what the 5.3 will sound like with no cats...

Video ideas: 1. Install a bypass, one route for normal exhaust and one for cherrybomb=Wife/Nieghbor mode and husband/street mode. 2. Get a decibel reader for interior. 3. Pull up into quiet neighborhood culdsac at night for home arrival sound with acoustics of the houses.

Thanks for all the work put in. I was surprised she m80 didn't have that loud obnoxious crackle known with glass packs. I wanted to get a two chamber Flo for mine but after watching your vids... I went with the vortex and saved a couple if bucks.🤙

I have a Cherry Bomb Salute on my 08 5.3l Silverado and really like the sound of it. I also really like the sound of the Thrush Welded muffler and have one of those on my 02 5.3l Suburban. I don’t have cats on either of my vehicles though.

Personally I prefer a louder tone that is not obnoxious. Personally I will going with a Gibson pretty soon, probably the Gibson 5516 setup which is cat back and exhaust out the side before the passenger tire with dual square tips. Should be good for my 06 5.3L NV3500 RCSB.

On camaro. Drone level on inside at highway speed. I have Pypes version of the M 80. The Cherry Bomb version sounds better to me. Looking forward to your Camaro test.

FYI-Engine masters just did a test of the cherry bombs and other mufflers for $40 bucks or less and the salute came out with the least amount of horsepower reduction. The salute was almost as good as open headers.

Salute sounded best, nice and smooth with little to no drone. Give it about 500 miles and it'll get more bass and loudness as that fiberglass burns in.

The Salute is your basic Magnaflow/Ultraflo copy, straight through with packing, a glorified glasspack that's stainless and more packing so it's quieter. Give it a month and it'll break in and sound better. Also, add dual tailpipes and long 3.5" or 4" tips. It'll be louder and deeper, and reduce drone in the cab.

Great video man I pick C the Cherry Bomb M-80 muffler. Which is better for a 2015 Toyota Corolla 18 inch Cherry Bomb Glasspack or the Cherry Bomb M-80? My current set up on my 2015 Toyota Corolla is AEM dry flow performance air filter, Vibrant performance resonator 304 stainless steel 12 inch standard bottle style 2.25 inlet/outlet and a DC Sports resonated muffler part number ex-5016. I've had many mufflers on my car trying out different sounds on my car to see what I really liked and what I didn't like from Magnaflow's oval mufflers , Cherry Bomb Glasspacks, Paradox performance signature series elite mufflers, Evil Energy round muffler and the current muffler is the DC Sports resonated muffler that on the car now. I'm tired of the muffler I have on my car and want to switch it up again to and buy American made mufflers again and get rid of the Chinese made muffler I have on my car now. My current muffler started rusting out badly and I had it installed on Jan 15th 2022 so I cleaned the surface of the muffler really good got all the dirt grease etc off of the muffler and painted the muffler with a spray paint can of high temperature paint glossy black. Should I buy another Cherry Bomb Glasspack? Should I try something new like the Cherry Bomb Ol' Skool Hot Rod muffler, Cherry Bomb M-80 muffler? Which ever muffler I get I'm either going with another 2.25 inlet to 3.5 outlet exhaust tip or 2.25 inlet to 4 outlet exhaust tip. What muffler do you think I should buy for my 2015 Toyota Corolla and also what size exhaust tip do you think would be best for my car?
