Since I’ve been an ergo loupe guy from the first year they were released I’m really used to them. The dof on the hero 8x is narrow but no biggie. 😊

Awesome video! If you do come by a great pair of ergo loupes with good contrast and minimal distortion please review a set! I recently got the Q optics TTL 4.5x and I asked for the maximum declination angle (60 degrees) to try to get some ergonomic benefit whilst retaining that contrast and clarity. While its not as ergonomic as my hero loupes or andaus its the best I have for clarity and is better than my older TTL Orascoptic with declination angle more around 30-45 degrees. How do you find the depth of field for the hero 8xs? I find them a bit shallow for endo's right now compared to my q optics 4.5x TTl but maybe with time I'll get used to them.

Thanks for the reviews! Did you consider the Lumadent Ergo Max in 7.5 or 10X? I'm torn between those and the 8X Hero

I’ll reach out and see if they’d send me a pair to review.

Dear doctor thanks for the video. Can we get 3 ergo loupes? one with 4x for daily use other one 6x fillings and one with 8x for endos aren't these 3 loupes better than microscopes? loupes are very light weight and they don't occupy space as microscopes in the clinic what's your opinion about that?

I use different loupes for different things, so yes I think what you are saying is a generally good idea. And yes you can have three sets of loupes for much less than the cost of an endodontic scope... and the loupes are more versatile. Nothing on the market that I know of would replace a scope for an endodontist or someone who wants that level of magnification, and clarity... but the ergo loupes for a general dentist are a fantastic option. Thanks for the comment.
