You need to control your variables and show your application methods. I have been using T9 in the Navy (carrier) at sea, in my bike shop, and at home since 2003. Your results with Boeshield are atypical. Example: I sprayed a cheap naked, unprotected steel padlock on my gate almost 4 years ago and it's still buttery smooth action and no corrosion.

I am curious as to your results. While this was hanging was it in a fixed position to where the two sides were facing certain directions? Do you have tree lines or other objects blocking a certain direction that light could be traveling? If you have one side facing a sunrise or sunset every day and the other side is blocked by a house or tree line then your testing process is flawed. UV light aids in activating corrosion sooner than in an environment where less UV and radiation from the sun are present. Were the methods of application the same? IE; spray on vs brush on? Did you follow directions to the best method and recommended usage to eliminate user error? Just curious.

I've used T-9 for a long time, usually on things that are damaged by petroleum based lubes (e.g. vinyl, rubber, plastics... etc...) Works well because it's wax based. I'm guessing that acid rain eats the T-9 too fast for it to be as effective... but as a joint and plastic-gear lube, the T-9 works great. It doesn't conduct electricity, so you won't get zapped using it. I just used some today on my DVD/CD Drive because the gear is catching.
