thanks for your comparison. I have this Autool and saw that he can cheat for AGM. Classical lead acid is measuring quite correctly. I compared it with the professional and expensive Midtronics tester - Autool only overestimated about 4%. For various AGMs with motorcycles a difference of 40-50%. Can you compare these testers on a regular acid-lead battery?

BT360 looks good and that is the one I ordered, luckily ^^ I also like the fact it shows the milli ohm.

Hello. I have just bought this BT360 tester and I have tried to measure on new AGM battery Varta 70Ah, 760A. The measurement was SOH 70%, SOC 98% and only 670A. Is this correct or something doesn't work. Thanks for your help.

For battery lifetime about 5 years after mark, it should be weak if it used for daily. So i think Foxwell is measuring correctly..

Good test but not enough tests and meters used (i.e. professional quality DVOM and milliohm meter) to draw fully confident conclusion except for this; Nexas isn't number 3, it just failed & unless subsequent tests confirmed battery is actually bad (which would invalidate current conclusion that both Autool & Foxwell are acceptable choices) then it should not be considered at any price.

May not be exact, and doesn't really need to be accurate right on the nose but just enough to give you a good idea of when something is about to kick the bucket.

Can be used for a good comparison. My AGM battery is 4 years old rated at ( 680 A EN). My topdon tester ( which is the same as the autool) says my battery is down to 450A EN and 43% SOH. I then put it on a new battery and that read 740 A EN ( rated 680A ) and 100% SOH so that tells me i have trouble ahead. Any battery i know is bad the tester always said “ replace”, any new fresh battery i tested always gives more CCA than it’s rated CCA

They all showed completely different results but consistently. I would believe the one that showed soc 100%, soh 71%

So the Autool over reads? Over optimistic? I have the topdon tester ( which is the same internals) and i get 43% SOH so I’m guessing it could be lower if i tested it on a Foxwell?

I think your wrong, is better autool why?. Because foxwell says replace battery in the first attempt, and autool says recharge, after recharge autool says good battery and foxwell too, but why replace if you can charge it.

@@DarthAnjastis Correct Felipe! Notice both internal resistance and voltage change significantly after the long recharge, many modern chargers have a recondition function that really works on batteries that are in questionable state produced by neglect or a single non-fatal discharge. Saying it's bad just because it's not ideal is a poor choice. This video is a perfect example of a battery that likely has 1-2 years more useful life.

No no no Autool is better. First foxwell says replace before charge, autool says recharge, after recharge both says good battery, but how? . Plus point for autool. Second autool is cheaper than foxwell and third hace more functions like alternator test and load test

@@abuhanifah3380 how can CCA be the same on fully charged battery when compared with empty one. Empty battery has naturally lower capacity to deliver amps. But I don't believe any of them, results were just too random.
