Another great comparison. I actually do own the 2008 Blu-ray, I remember being impressed with the colour, clarity and the sound mix when I first saw it. Looking forward to getting my 4k next week (in the U.K.)

The sharpness on this one is great. Colors look more natural too. Nice upgrade. I'd like to see you post a comparison for War of the Worlds. I thought that film was a good upgrade too for these recent Tom Cruise releases. Top Gun didn't blow me away with its picture, but the Atmos on that disc is amazing.

The attentive and reverent look at the tracks, the cars, the public, the drivers ... is really cool. Beautiful photography (I can feel the heat!), great sound, great score. A good movie. #RIPTonyScott

But it seems to me that it's mainly a change in colours/contrast rather than resolution. There's still a lot of graininess right? Is that usual for 4k, or just for remastering or am I just wrong?!
