I am glad that the MCU had a younger Aunt May. Because in the comics, I always looked at her and looked at Peter as a 16-year-old and thought she looked like his grandmother. I suppose she could be his great aunt. But a 16-year-old could easily have an aunt that's in her forties. I always assumed that the reason that Aunt May was so old in the comics was probably because Stan Lee might have based her on one of his actual aunts at the time that he created the character. But he didn't do the regression of what a 16-year-old would have as an aunt.
