Infiniti rear fake exhaust is horrendous. Completely ruins the overall design

@@Modern.Motoring the sh-awd is hard to beat, it is one of the best if not ‘the’ best system out there.its like you’re driving a sport car rather than a big suv, the ELS 3D sound system is phenominal! touchpad is good, i get used to it, after an hour of owning it😊😎

@@kromahj lets say, there are 3 people with the same height of 5’10 and they are going to sit in front (driver), 2nd row then 3rd row.. i would say the space between them is still good. me and my friends tried it😊

@@Modern.Motoring Yeah I know, a lot if people talked about the TouchPad. Hopefully Acura gives us a touchscreen, the Concept infotainment was a touchscreen. Alot of people don't know about that

@@Slim1986 I think the Infiniti looks much more high end than the Acura, especially from the back. Not to mention a better looking interior, with more tech as well. I would definitely go with the Infiniti! But to each his own!

I think the MDX Type S looks great but the regular MDX looks so...2015. It doesn't look like a new car. It's boring. The QX60 is stunning in person and looks like a luxury vehicle from 2022.

I think it all comes down to preference. Both are great SUVs. Only thing is that rear on the QX60 sucks with those fake exhaust looking panels back there.....horrible.

Previous new RDX owner, hate the trackpad, terrible typing experience in Carplay mode. Still don't understand why neither of them allow full screen carplay while it's on screen for 99% of the time. Lexus already did it for the new NX!

I wish Acura would have used the RLX 3.5L with 310hp/272tq since the MDX is +300lbs heavier compared to the pervious gen. Acura just needs to add a touchscreen along with the touchpad, option(s) other than piano black trim, tri-zone climate, arm rest for 2nd row in cpt chair configuration, and ventilated 2nd row. Acura missed an opportunity when they dropped the Sport Hybrid version. with today's gas prices.

This was great because I am deciding between these two in the model 2023 years. Well the Mdx is now 2024 but nothings changed. The 2024 MDX Type s Ultra v Infiniti QX60 Autograph. The difference really- based on your review being very equal overall- is the price. In April 2023: the Acura is 7.59% lease $88k. The inifiniti is 6.49% lease and $78k. So is all these being fairly equal - is the Acura work $13k more month when considering the higher least rate? That’s the issue I have. Acura’s interior lighting is nice. But the overuse of piano black is annoying. And the pop up usb thing feels cheap. The Infiniti has the plastic tire well mouldings that feel cheap and so 2013 BMW X3. And the Infiniti has really bad interior vent modulators. They are difficult to angle or move your air flow. Your review is great because a buyer can nitpick and still end up with a great car for their 3-4 lease.

QX-60 all day. The MDX was already sluggish. The 2022 MDX added 400 pounds to the same powertrain... now it's just outright underpowered. The MDX is also missing power up/down rear seats, has no third row vents, and comes with a hokey trackpad. The MDX is also known for transmission problems and infotainment screen blackouts which can actually drain the battery in extreme weather conditions.

But I thought capacitive is finicky register fingers covered by gloves. Those capacitive buttons respond to electrical signals like a touchscreen and if you try using a smartphone wih gloves, the phone doesn't register your inputs all the time. Also, the reason why MDX has toggles instead of knobs is because they figured toggles are associated with luxury brands since BMW and Mercedes (albeit until recently) have been using toggles. Heck, Audi's newest A3 interior uses toggles instead of knobs. I think the mentality behind toggles over knobs is so that you don't overshoot past your desired setting.

The MDX is a top pick for a reason. The Infiniti QX60 will just become another rental SUV you’ll find at an airport.

Design preference is highly subjective. I find the MDX ugly and harsh, If there’s anything to like, it would be the rear of the mdx. The Infiniti hands down wins in design minus that ridiculous fake exhaust. Have to agree the driving on the mdx is better especially on the type S.

Infinity went away from CVT starting with the 2022 redesign. It now has a 9-speed automatic.
