Tack, väldigt seriös och genomtänkt film. Gav mig många funderingar då jag själv söker filter men inte vågat köpa något än.

How did the water differ in taste between these different devices?
@VarRedo2 жыл бұрын
There was no noticeable smell or taste from any filter that I can recall. This type of water filter doesn’t remove all taste or color from the water if the water is a bit brown.

How did the MSR AutoFlow and LifeStraw Mission perform over the long term? Any problems? Any big drops in performance?
@VarRedo2 жыл бұрын
I haven’t used the LifeStraw Mission since because I don’t have to. The MSR AutoFlow still have a nice flow. No problems with any of the filters.

@@VarRedo that’s good to hear thanks!

One thing you didn’t clarify was that LifeStraw Mission can remove VIRUSES, whereas the MSR AutoFlow cannot. This is why there’s a huge difference in flow rate. Thus a better comparison would have been between MSR Guardian Gravity Purifier (10L), which does remove viruses. On the MSR website there seems to be a quality control issue with it as there are quite a few unhappy people, which is why your channels are useful to show real world testing. I agree with your assessment that the Mission is better for home emergencies, camping and basecamp, but if you look after it e.g. keeping it in a sturdy case to prevent damage to that bulb, then its ability to remove viruses is well worth it and it’s HALF the price of the MSR Guardian Gravity Purifier. 1.5L in 9 mins is a long time if you have to watch the water dripping, so it simply requires a different workflow: (a) overnight use, or (b) take a break while using it, chill out for 20 mins, put your feet up or take some photos and before you know it the water’s ready. Other reviews online and KZbin fail make valid comparisons as most don’t factor in viruses and how important it can be.

I mentioned that the LifeStraw Mission filters viruses at 1:15 MSR Guardian Gravity Purifier (10L) wasn't available in January 2019. Thank you for watching and commenting.

@@VarRedo ah, silly me, sorry I missed that. One other good thing about LifeStraw is the unlimited shelf life which makes it good for storing at home in case of any social emergencies where water security is threatened. I’m guess that Norway won’t be affected by blackouts due to Russia/Ukraine war because it has its own gas supplies? Europeans on the mainland e.g. Austria are starting to prep for blackouts.
