Cant say thanks enough. Your videos are a great help to me. I am in the process of setting up my servo controlled turnouts with help from your videos. May I ask waht type of sensors you are using to locate your locomotives?

I am using a kit from the Model Electronic Railway Group (MERG). it is a UK based group of really smart people who have designed multiple kits that can be used in DCC systems. You must be a member to order the kits, but I think annual membership is ABOUT $35 US. This gets you 4 quarterly magazines with great articles, tons of technical bulletins, knowledge base as well as access to the kit locker. The 8 channel block detection circuit is about $35 shipped to the US, but it is a kit and must be soldered.

There is lots of info to read about on the DCC EX website, Start there with info on how to set up and use DCC EX. Also, do a search for dcc ex, look under the videos tab of the search and there are GOBS of how to videos on setting up/using dcc ex. I will continue to add videos here too on using dcc ex on model RR layouts, so stay tuned here.

I started by reading the DCC-EX site and slowly followed the sections, also I have a spare Mega and motor shield that I use to practice sketches to ensure the compile before loading on to my setup, saves a lot of wasted time 😊

No, I don't do Instagram, X, or Discord. I have a Facebook account, but I don't post to my own timeline, I only use it for keeping up with certain groups I belong to, like the DCC-EX group. Just subscribe to this page and turn on notifications for when I post something
