Tamiya TC-01 Formula E GEN2 Build - Part 2

In Part 2 of this multi-part build series, I work on installing the electronics and center gearbox into our Tamiya TC-01 Formula E ride. As you'll see, I did mix things up a bit as far as where I installed the electronics, moving away from the manual suggestion based on how I wanted the wiring to look.
I also came up with a cool little way to easily remove the gearbox to change the gearing without having to solder and unsolder the motor every time - old school remedy to the rescue!

Did you solder the bullet plugs to the mother and do you have a video on how you did this?

Yes, the bullet plugs to the motor allows us to take the motor in and out with having to solder the wires each time. And no, sorry, we didn't video this process.

I'm incredibly curious how you got your Just Stock ESC to fit with the fan mounted. I picked up the same ESC, and it seems way too tall to fit in the allotted space without interfering with the upper deck

I did have to remove and relocate the fan, however it is in the same general place and does blow cool air onto the ESC. I'll have that in the next video coming on Wednesday. Stay tuned.

Also what type of bullet connectors did you use.... did you solder them to the motor, as well to the esc?

Do you recommend adding grease to the gears?

In most cases yes, however sometimes I run them dry to reduce a little friction.
