I'm NOT Cheating, this uses dev commands in a private server. The most fun I've had in Competitive Counter-Strike in a LONG time, we set up a 1v5 match where the One was Invisible. Remember Hidden Source? It's like that. Remember Evolve? It's like that, but actually fun.

lol thats LITERALLY the hidden mod. The hidden is in gmod, css, tf2, AND its own standalone hl2:dm mod. I think this is more unique since the hidden has a gun and has an objective other than eliminating all players.

​@@crittr no...? in the hidden mod the survivors usually have some sort of trap to set, while the "ghost" has his mobility, usually an ability, and props to mess around with. (at least in gmod) These matches also usually last ~5 minutes, much longer than a round in cs. If a player was invisible with no radar detection in csgo, the ghost would almost have to plant the bomb since the hunting down every player would melt your time away. Guarding the bomb might be just as hard because if there are 2+ players alive, one can defuse and one can spray down on the bomb as soon as you try and backstab the defuser.

I’ve devised a strategy for this game mode. Use an smg as your primary and a five seven as the secondary. Have the team go with a 2-1-2 in between sites. Stare at the radar rather than the screen. Make a call out and have the team corner and zone the player into a small space. Then have everyone run in staring at radar, lining up the shots, and taking them on the correct y level to kill the invisible player. This paired with 2 flashes and a molly and you have a deadly combo

When i was young i played a cs 1.6 china clone called "crossfire". It has a fun mode where all Terrorists are invisible and can only use knifes. The terrorists are not fully invisible when they move, just super transparent, while sneaking they are fully invisible but you can hear them breathing. I remember a while ago I was playing a game called Crossfire - developed and played almost exclusively in the Asian market. In this game, there was something called Ghost mode which gives one team using weapons as normals, but the other teams has a cloaking passive whenever they stand still but is only allowed to use melee weapon and make loud breathing sound. So one side has to master the ability to lay down and ambush, while the other needs to ration their ammo for both spraying to clear out an area and defeating ghost side. It follows the same rule set as a defusal map

There was a game (source mod) that we played a lot many years ago that's based on this concept: The Hidden - Source. It hasn't been updated in years I think, but it got a surge of popularity a few years ago due to some streamers picking it up. There was a "Goast mode" in a Chinese CS-like game where T and CT have the same number of playeres but Ts are invisible and can only use knife. The Ts are totally invisible when standing still and very slightly visible when moving. That mod was also fun and I played a lot.

I'm sure Crossfire had this mode 13 years ago xD They had a mode called Ghost mode. Which was a 5v5 mode where ghost were invisible and only allowed to bhop while using knife only. Ghost can be slightly seen when moving

It would be a great idea to make a 5 vs 5 with one invisible player in each team, leading to team strategies using that "special weapon". A battle between 2 invisibles could be fun. Also, it could be interesting a second version where only the 2 invisible players can see each other, and alsoooo... that could lead to 2 options, one in which they can tell who is the invisible and other where they can't tell the difference of an invisible player from a normal one. So many possibilities! And that lead me to another idea. What if one player is "Special" in each team, and he can can see the "Special" player of the other team in the radar. That could also lead to interesting strategies and fakes, and teams trying to protect that player like you would do with the queen in a chess game. Man... you are a creative inspiration! XD
