Love it. The fact that you've got the cover and field splayed out like that shows me that the game is more focused around actual skill and strategy and not just sneaking around corners and getting lucky to see an enemy there. Really enjoyed this, hope my club does something along these lines sometime. Also... Loving the shirt! ;)

Dart limitations are a big reason I love using springer primaries and simply having a secondary that's a flywheel or full auto for only when really needed. Right now, I run my modded Buzz Bee Interceptor mostly and have a Buzz Bee Destiny strapped on my side for clearing a group when it counts. Otherwise, I don't even touch the Destiny through complete games sometimes, but when you need 20 shots spammed in a couple of seconds, it's pretty nice to have. For really low dart counts (sometimes we run only 30 darts as a limit per person) I run my Buzz Bee Snipe and a modified Nerf Bigshock converted to fire Elites and use only Buzz Bee Precise Pro's. That makes it interesting and you have to have the mentality of making each shot count.

Hey Jangular, I used to play tournament paintball and one of the best parts was that the bunkers could be played on 3 sometimes 4 different sides. When the bunkers can only be played from 2 sides it makes it harder to pull of 1v2 scenarios because you can’t switch sides on the bunker to block certain areas, most of the time you were tagged was because while reloading someone rain right up beside you

You are absolutely right that it can make certain scenarios harder, and that's something we took into consideration to try and prevent stagnant games where teams would take 2 points and be able to easily hold by dancing around the cover. I have however thought a lot about adding some cover that has more than 2 sides in season 2, as they do add more to the game, I just don't want them all to be that style. Love the idea of competitive Nerf but in my opinion the flat open grass with small bits of cover seems kinda boring to me. I like playing in bushland with dense cover and opportunities to be sneaky. Or schools where there are multiple routes you can take and buildings you can hide behind.

It's certainly not the only way it could be played, this setup however lets anyone with cover and a field emulate a setup, rather than each field being completely different and likely not balanced. It focuses more on communication and setups to be able to trade effectively and hold a point, less so on the flanking. I could see you enjoying the Squad Supremacy style more with your playstyle.

That is correct, for now it's pvc with rip stop nylon sleeves.

Hey, so some things in paintball carry over into this for example when your shooting at a guy keep your mind on him remmber that your on a team the other 4 guys will take care of the others what you have to do is snap shoot with one guy and if you have dominance ( where you are looking at a bunker with someone behind it and you have your gun up to it so they can’t peak without you shooting them) never and I mean never give up your dominance that right there will win games.

I believe they have play tested with lots of different dart limits. I remember Jangular saying something about a 500 dart limit day and a team with multiple rapidstrikes just dominated everyone and spawn camped them.

I really like the idea of dart limitations as it i think it makes you have to work as a team and think about your shots, and evens out the playfield to make the games competitive

We tested much higher numbers and after those games turned into nothing but spamfests where teams didn't have to worry about what they brought onto the field, we adjusted until we found a nice balance that only led to more diverse blasters, but more balanced gameplay that required thought when putting a composition together, and awareness to your teams dart status.

Zany200 as a BOOMco player I can’t really have limitations on how much ammo I can carry if nobody else is using it. I would hope there would be an exception for that and rivals and Megas if nobody else is running those either

Why would you need an exception? If I am using half length darts I won't have a lot to scavenge either. The gameplay isn't setup for people to spray foam for 6 minutes. You could easily use a couple 20 clips and 25 loose straws and still be competitive. Especially since boomco is more accurate and has more range than full length nerf darts. A blaze of glory and a ma6 with 60-65 rounds should do fine.

I do indeed use a gimbal, I love the difference it makes! Communication and teamwork are what get opposing players out of their cover :)

This is everything I look for In the hobby...personally i can do without the mele weapon/cosplay/larp/stock blaster aspect of the community. I look to nerf as a public friendly and safe and Free way to airsoft or paintball without worrying about cops. I get so dissapointed when clubs want to do pistols only or limmited blaster game types. I'm in it for the arms race that is modding. And then going out and wrecking people with high powered creations without feeling like an Dbag bcause it's still just "a nerf gun".

You usually see a couple springers on each team with a lower rate of fire to allow 2-3 team members to go with higher ROF flywheels with more darts on them.
